  1. Good afternoon all, So i've hit a little bit of a rough patch. I'm not sure if I can do nursing anymore. I currently have a 2.98 GPA and am feeling very discouraged about applying to any programs (I'm in Georgia btw). My first year of college was pretty and I didn't perform as well. I have come a long way from where my GPA was before, but the advisors aren't being all that helpful and telling me to swtich my major. Here is what I got in my current prereqs: 1. A&P 1 - B 2. A&P 2- C 3. Mirobio lecture - C (im currently taking the lab and I hope to do well, and I also plan to retake the lecture next semester) 4. BIO 1103K (I took chem freshman year and didn't do too tell so I decided to take biology instead, do any of you guys know ANY programs..out of state or in state that takes Introductory Biology as a prerequisite?) Taking all the others between now and next semester, but do yall think its even worth it? I have run out of motivation. If any of you guys have major switch suggestions (that are still in healthcare) please let me know! I wanna do something where I can work and help. I want to work with kids, so any career advise based on that would be very appreciated. Thank you all so much!
  2. Hello Awesome Nurses/Students, I need some advice...so, in the fall I could be starting a new job working night shifts from 10:45pm-3:30 am Sunday-Thursday. I needed advice on how to properly spread out my remaining prereqs. while still having time to study, sleep, and be at work on time. The classes I will be taking are: Principles of Biology 1, Statistics, Nutrition (online), & Microbiology Lab. Before I got the interview with this job I picked my classes already so here is what I have so far: *Mondays : NO CLASS *Tuesdays: Principles of Biology (8 am-9:15 am), Microbiology lab (11 am- 12:30 pm), & Statistics (2 pm- 3:45 pm) *Wednesdays: Principles of Biology Lab (9 am - 11:30 am) *Thursdays: Principles of Biology (8 am- 9:15 am), Microbiology Lab (11 am- 12:30 pm), & Statistics (2 pm- 3:45 pm) *Fridays: NO WORK/ CLASS Now that the process with the job is moving I came up with this scenario of classes * Mondays: Statistics (2 pm- 3:10 pm), Microbiology Lab (3:30 pm- 5:00 pm), Principles of Biology (5:30 pm- 6:45 pm) WORK AT 10:45 pm *Tuesdays: NO CLASS, WORK at 10:45 pm *Wednesday: Statistics (2 pm- 3:10 pm), Microbiology Lab (3:30 pm- 5:00 pm), Principles of Biology (5:30 pm- 6:45 pm) WORK AT 10:45 pm *Thursday: NO CLASS, WORK at 10:45 pm *Fridays: Statistics (2 pm- 3:10 pm) NO WORK Since I switched my Stats class I had to pick one that was Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I really need advice...I foresee study time being on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. If anyone has worked a night shift could you please give me some advice or just let me know which schedule seems more practical. I'm only working 5 1/2 hours shifts, 5 days out of the week. Any advice would help! THANKS SO MUCH ALL!!!!
  3. Thank you so much! All of you. I ended the semester with a C in Anatomy 2 and considered retaking, but I don't think I will because it would set me back to my goal of applying for Fall admission next year. I will just use these study tips to perform better in my other courses and hopefully explain the grade in my essay.
  4. because my advisor said this is the only way I could reach my goal of applying to the program by Fall this year
  5. I am currently doubling up in my sciences and I need tips on how to manage the work load of the two. I don't want to spend too much time studying for one and neglecting the other...PLEASE HELP!
