Oh interesting! I've already taken it, but that's def confusing. Maybe 21 days is just a safe rule of thumb then but not required. I have heard most schools discourage taking it sooner than 3-4 weeks because it's been shown there's not much improvement in that time frame so maybe that's where that came from. Who knows!

Then they need to change their website, because on the ATI website it says you have to wait 21 days.

UTMB told me they do not have a wait requirement, however ATI does. It's 21 days.

A friend of mine who applied & has a friend in the program now said emails are going out at noon. Who knows if that's actually true tho...

Does anyone know what the email itself says? I know our admission decision is a letter attached to the email, but I was just wondering what the email itself said :)

I thought about it because it would be nice to see everything, but then again I'm afraid 1. to jinx myself and 2. that I'll fall in love with the place and it'll be an even bigger let down if I don't get in lol...

But I've kinda calmed myself down on that just bc I got the email super early, so if there isn't any significance to it I don't wanna be even more upset if I don't get in lol! I'd like to think when you got the email meant something, but there's also that part of me that is sooooo scared

KATHERINE! I'm so glad you're in here! I took pesthy with you last year LOL. Please tell me her students who meet the requirements are good so I can calm my nerves.... í ½í¹ƒ (she also wrote my rec letter if that helps hahaha)

Yeah I knew that, there's a couple girls in my lab who applied but didn't meet the teas requirements so they didn't get it, but there's also several people in my lab & lecture class who met the requirements and didn't so I was just curious if the emails were still going out! Almost everyone in my lab applied, so like 12 of us and then I know probably another 20 or so people who applied from lecture, but I know far more people that applied than that received the background check email that's for sure! Only 4 of the 12 of us in lab got it. I know a few of my friends didn't apply because of teas scores, but I don't know exact numbers. It sounded to me like the majority of people in my class either didn't apply, or had another school as their first choice. I heard from a friend who's in the program now that they had 300 or so applicants this year :'(

Does anyone know anybody who applied & was eligible but hasn't received the background check email? I know like 4 people in my class who haven't gotten it, and sadly enough had significantly better stats than myself lolol. I know everyone who's eligible has gotten it eventually but I'm wondering if the increased applicant numbers this year had any affect on who got that email this year.

Yes :/ I was too. It says on the SON website they'll go out March 31, but since that's a Saturday I double checked and Lynn told me Saturday. There's an open house that day from 10-12 so I'd just like to know/hope it'll be after that. í ½í¸¬

I got word from Lynn yesterday that admission letters will be emailed on Saturday March 31, 2018... But now I can't stop thinking at what time?! If anyone finds this out that would be faaaabulous!

How many people on here have taken or are taking Pesthy for anatomy? It seems all my friends who were in her class last year and met the minimums got accepted so I'm just curious
