CONGRATS to everyone! I'm about to take my first semester HESI and it's been such a fun/crazy experience! Y'all are going to do great! ?

Hey! I know everyone uses facebook now, but i don't know if any former students are on the pages...anyways, any former or current student on here know exactly how long the first orientation is? The email says be prepared for 3 hours but does it run longer than that? Just need to know if i need to make arrangements for someone to pick up my daughter from school ?

If someone is reading that is already in the program, can you tell us about the uniforms? Are they true to size? Can we get our own pants? Shoes? Thanks

Yes, that red book is what my friend got. lol! But i am glad they give you more resources to use for the hesi and lecture tests. Priority is hard sometimes, because the first test i took it was all about ABC and then the second test, that is what everyone did, and everyone failed. It is confusing sometimes. You have ABC and then Maslows. Which one comes before the other, haha! Those practice questions should help though. Do you know the difference, if any, between el centro and north lake?

Yes, that helps so much! lol! The 78 is scary. I did really well in Clinical and skills, but lecture is the worst for me..maybe because the system between the teachers were not so good. hopefully this is a different experience. How do you study for tests? I know its pretty much all self taught, and nothing they teach is related to the hesi (or it somewhat is). My friend found some great books that saved her from failing the hesi but the tests are what gets me. ?

Okay, thank you, i wanted to make sure because at BHC you don't get to retake it and if you don't get a 76 for the semester then you have to have your exit interview. I didn't make first semester there, sadly I got a 75.89 and they do not round up, but its ok because it makes me want it so much more! Also what is PNC/HCC? I am on the FB page for other semesters and the S1 and S2 are confusing me Lol! I have to learn the abbreviations haha!

I would like to know more about first semester schedule as well! Also the end of semester hesi, do y'all get to retake it once if you don't pass the first time? Or is it only once and if you don't pass then you have to have your exit interview?

Oh good! Because it does say rejected on the flu part, and I don't want them to just see that. That makes me feel better! When I went to go talk to someone they said that they don't have nearly 120 applications and that they haven't seen anyone with 28 points or higher get rejected. And I have also talked to Jesse Brown, he was the one that told me to go to Baylor down in Waco to take my HESI this pass week. On friday, i drove down at 5am and took my test and passed! Then i drove all the way back (after getting Common Grounds Coffee, haha) and turned in my application! I can't believe we have to wait til October to hear anything. I am thinking about putting an application in at Brookhaven (even though I already went there last semester for nursing) just so I have 2 applications out there and I get in somewhere.

Question: So for the CastleBranch thing, I submitted everything and everything says its completed, except for the flu (which says rejected because it was from last year) and the Hep A (which says incomplete because I only have one shot right now). Will this effect my application? For the flu and Hep A it says the deadline is October of this year. I just want to make sure nothing will go wrong.

Just the testing center at Baylor. I called this morning after I talked with the main guy at el centro. He was the one that said I could take it there, i think you can take it anywhere it just has to have the correct sections.
