Hi everyone, I'm from FL. I graduated from the University of Florida a few years ago. My husband just got a promotion and we will have to move to Atlanta, GA over the next few months. I've submitted my applications for nursing schools in Miami so that I could start in August, but now everything has changed. I would truly appreciate some help from this lovely community. I want to be an RN. Which schools should I look into around the Atlanta area? I know Emory is on the list, but lets face it that bar is pretty high. I'll aim for it but I think a back up plan would be wise. I want to speak to locals that will steer me away from an overpriced private school with high drop out rates. I'm open to AS or BSN programs. I just need to start working and I know I'll be able to work my way up. I've done some research online, but it's good to hear from the people. EX. University of Florida has a good reputation for getting students into NP schools after they were done with their RN, but they didn't have good bedside manner so they usually weren't hired by local hospitals. I want to go to a school that has a good reputation and that has a high retention rate. Thank you all so much
