  1. This is my third year of college, I have all my prereqs for any nursing program except for two I am retaking. I took microbiology and chemistry together last semester and didn't make the grades I should have at all and it has put me in a rut. I am retaking them both but am worried that if I don't make the needed grade again I will just keep wasting semesters on them. I either need a B in both or atlas an A in one and. C in the other to level my GPA. I am 21 years old and just feel like I should be doing something already or about to be done. I feel so discouraged and disappointed in myself and now even questioning my major I've wanted since I was 14. However, I just looked into LVN programs and was wondering if this would be the way to go first to assure nursing is still what I want and I could always bridge over to RN later. I am just thinking ahead if this semester does not go as I am planning. Any advice?
  2. I will rent this tonight. Thank you so much for your encouraging words!
  3. I wish I would have known this before I transferred so soon!
  4. I agree with you 100%. I started off at a small community college for all my classes I did so well in. This is my first year at a public university taking only micro and chemistry at. And it is overwhelming. My anatomy classes had 8 people in lecture and lab. Now my chemistry and micro have over 100 in lectures and it is overwhelming
  5. This is probably one of the most embarrassing things I will have admitted. This is my third year of college. I finished all my pre reqs with A's and B's as a dedicated nursing student major. I only had micrbiology and chemistry left. Last semester I took both of these together and made a C in chemistry and F in microbiology...I had a horrible teacher who has been fired because most students made this grade. Not saying this isn't my fault, I could have tried harder. But my GPA fell below 3.0 to a 2.8. I am retaking both classes again and I am losing hope. I will have to make a A in chemistry or a B in both to be considered and it is not looking the best. I just feel like I am in a rut and I don't want to waste years trying to reach the GPA I need. I am 21 and feel like I should already be somewhere or about to graduate I've wanted to be a nurse since I was 14 but I so discouraged now and seem to be loosing my motivation and just so down all the time. And this is not like me I've always been so dedicated which is why I am questioning this.
