  1. Hi there, Which cohort did you apply to? For fall 2018 or spring 2019?
  2. Hi Everyone! I am new to this website and still trying to navigate it! I am currently waiting to hear back from Loyola University Chicago about whether I got into their accelerated nursing program or not. First want to give you guys a quick background on my academic history! I recently graduated from Michigan State University in May of 2017 and have found my passion in life which is nursing. However, my gpa is a bit on the lower side...I had a 2.8 GPA at MSU and had a rough start to college with being home sick and trying to accustom myself to the new surroundings. Loyola requires a minimum gpa of 3.0 and the website says that if you fall below the 3.0 gpa, they will factor pre reqs and transcripts into your overall gpa. I retook Chemistry last summer and that helped bring back up my GPA, but biology and physiology really brought my GPA down with the difficulty of the class. I am currently taking anatomy and physiology at a community college and have been doing well in the class so far. Really striving to get As in all of my pre reqs! I have 2 years of CNA experience, currently working as a cna in a pediatric unit, and had an internship in a hospice home my Senior year of college. I have been in contact with the Loyola advisor and she has made me feel hopeful about the program by saying I would be a great fit in the program, however still very nervous about the possible outcome of not getting accepted . I have found other nursing programs that will take students with a 2.75 gpa and above which is awesome! I am looking to hear back from anyone that is currently or has been in my shoes in the past!!
