  1. Thank you! No, surprisingly not. I was honestly shocked when I received the email.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm happy to say I was offered the position for the cardiology residency and accepted! I'm so excited. I hope everyone gets good news soon!!
  3. Nope, still waiting to hear something!
  4. Awesome! Did you hear anything about a second interview for cardiology?
  5. Did anyone else interview for Cardiology?
  6. Hey guys! Anyone heard back yet about the med-surg positions?
  7. Did anyone that interviewed today happen to hear when we should hear back about the Med-Surg positions?
  8. Ok, me too :) I heard back Thursday evening.
  9. Good luck to you too! Did you already receive an email with your interview time? I emailed back my preference time for my interview but have not heard anything back yet
  10. If you don't mind me asking, what types of questions did they ask you at your interview?
  11. Thanks!! I actually just received an email from them with an invitation to interview. Super excited :)
  12. Congrats!!! Do you know if they started interviewing for the Med Surg positions yet?
  13. Gosh, that is super frustrating!! Please let me know what she tells you. I really hope everything works out for you. Honestly if you got the interview I think you've still got a chance at the job. Like I said I've got friends with ADNs who got hired on for Parkland's Spring ER and Inpatient Rehab residencies so something isn't adding up. Why would they give us interviews if they have no intention of hiring us?
  14. I know, I don't understand it either... I asked if they would be hiring ADNs for the hospitalist residency and these were her exact words: "No ma'am not for any of our residency programs, only our internal candidates will be considered with a ADN" Which residency did you get an interview for? I interviewed for NICU but didn't get hired. It's just weird because I have classmates that got hired for Parkland's spring residencies..
  15. So Veronica just told me they aren't hiring ADNs for ANY of their residencies, unless you are an internal candidate with an ADN
  16. Would you mind sharing with me the name of the Facebook page so I can find the post? Thanks!
  17. Thank you!! is it for a new grad residency?
  18. I'm going to apply to every residency I can find! I'm hoping Parkland posts some more. I applied for the hospitalist position but I'm not really sure what it is, lol.
  19. I already found out I didn't get the NICU job thanks though! :) I'm glad she confirmed this so now I can just move on from L&D. I really didn't want to start in Med Surg but I will take anything at this point honestly.
  20. I feel your pain. I have my ADN as well. But I definitely don't have the amount of experience that you have. I feel like the only reason I even got an interview for NICU was because of the employee referral that I had, but I could tell during the interview they probably wouldn't hire me because I don't have a BSN. If you don't mind me asking, who confirmed to you that they are only interviewing BSNs for women's services?
  21. I received a rejection as well But yes, congrats to everyone else!
  22. Since there was some type of malfunction with the first listing, I guess I will just go ahead and apply again...can't hurt, right?
