No letter from OSU OKC at my house today...

Just looked at Spring and Fall 2018 boards and they only mention "letters" - nobody comments on email notification.

I can tell you that OCCC sends out emails the same day they send letters - emails stating that you're in or your position on the waitlist.

Apply wherever you might want to go. School loyalty?...it goes out the door when it comes to your future/your career. And who knows?...86 might cut it for the Spring class. Gaytra has told me that the cutoff points in the winter are typically lower than for the fall - fingers crossed.

I'm starting this summer - did y'all have a break after the first/summer "semester"...like the rest of the school? My wife needs a break and wants to go to Florida (too many kids in our house haha).

#5 Wait List is in! Received email at 1257.

I went ahead and requested to join the FB group also...surely I didn't jinx myself being the #5 Alternate haha. Well even if I did I'll surely get in the winter group (all prereqs will be done). Thanks, Bryan Bennett

Sounds good but I'll hold off until my #5 on the Wait List becomes last on the Accepted List...until I can turn my frown upside down...

I heard that - I "VIP'd" the email address on my phone telling me I'm the #5 alternate (so I'll get an alert for any futures). But I feel lucky to be #5 considering I'm currently in Micro (required), Physiology (required), Lifespan Development (required) [all at OSU-OKC] and a 1 hour biology lab at OCCC (because I need a 5th "Biology" hour). I'll be glad when this semester is over.

True, not worried yet. 5th alternate is pretty much a lock as far as I've been able to find out. What I don't know is how long to expect to wait. But I'm good/not worried.

I just got my OCCC BADNAP email! I'm the #5 alternate (not selected). ...Alternate was expected as I'm still taking required courses this semester. Check your email!

I couldn't find any uniform info on OCCC's website except what's in the Nursing Student Handbook. Excerpt follows: "Complete uniform for students entering the Nursing Program will consist of: - At least one scrub top and one scrub bottom that will be ordered on the Moodle Nursing Campus Lab page under Nursing Campus Lab Uniform Store. You will be able to try on and order uniforms at orientation." Maybe you can't see the "Nursing Campus Lab Uniform Store" on your OCCC portal until you're accepted into the program. Oh well.

I'll have to talk to them and see about pants (surely those aren't embroidered)...maybe they have to be a specific brand (and navy blue) but I'll look elsewhere.

Good question. I'd like to pick up a couple pairs of pants for this semester...all the better if I get the right color for my prospective school.

It takes about 15 minutes. I thought I was just dropping it off, but they have you meet with someone at Recruitment and Admissions who gives you a checklist, states that they can not answer questions about the application (if you have a question "we'll stop and you can go see an advisor") and then its sealed up in a manila envelope and put in a drop box.

Dropped my app off today for Summer 2018. Fingers crossed.
