  1. NCLEX application and state board

    Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had experience or advice on which state board of nursing to apply to in order to write the NCLEX. I am a Canadian registered nurse planning to move to the states in the next few years. My husband is American and I have been going through the immigration process through family. I would like to write my NCLEX prior to immigrating to the states. Hopefully this summer when we visit. Any recommendations on which state board to apply to where I do not need a social security number and preferably no fingerprinting either in order to write the NCLEX. I realize I will have to do this when I undergo licensing when we move. I am currently nursing in the Middle East, so finding somewhere to get fingerprinting done is a bit of a headache. Your advice is so appreciated. Thanks in advance
