  1. Thank you @nena5123, the insight was very helpful! It went okay - I had a phone interview since I am out-of-state, it was definitely not a great interview though to say the least, but they said they only have 2 positions open anyways and multiple interviews through this next week but we should be hearing back come next week 4/23. Good luck to you!!!
  2. @nena5123 Thats awesome!! How was your interview for Dell Childrens ER??? I have it coming up this week, anything you can tell me about it?? Any tips?? Have you heard back!?
  3. I was just contacted on Wednesday for an interview this week on Wednesday - so yes I believe they are still contacting people
  4. About 2.5 weeks @Coolkids and that's awesome to hear @Triddin, what do you say when you do make contact with the managers?
  5. It was live so it was able to actually talk with them and everything! I was in class right now and missed a call from them so I tried to call back, but we will see! lol
  6. Hi, I am a new grad looking at out of state of jobs (moving to Texas), and without prior connections to hospitals I want to ensure that my interest in these positions are clear. I have done research with mixed results as far as contacting the nursing manager of the unit of your interest directly. At this point I have submitted my application and its current status is: "Your application has been submitted for consideration. If the hiring manager selects you as a top candidate, we will contact you to schedule an interview." I was able to get a phone number for the nurse manager of the unit of my interest, should I call? Suggestions on what to say? Thank you!!

  8. I'm actually in Colorado, so they did a video interview for me! That's what I'm nervous about - I wasn't able to make as big of a personnel connection compared to in person interviews. Did you? How was it for you?
  9. I'm glad it went well!! í ½í¸Š Did you get any info on how many people they are hiring/when to expect a call back?
  10. @TXSRN401, I would definitely say to have stories prepared. Think of all your situational questions. They didn't ask about strengths and weakness or other basic questions, literally every question was to tell them about an experience. They did not say how many they were hiring, but I did not specifically ask... I should have because now it's the only thing on my mind, lol! If you get the opportunity to ask, let me know (: Good luck to you! I'll say a prayer for your success (:
  11. It went well! All the questions were, "Tell me about a time when...." Probably about a total of 12ish questions, took about 40minutes. The one that tripped me up was, tell me about time when you had to do something boring, how did you get through it? lol They was 2 interviewers, they did say they were interviewing about 8 people a day for 5 days before making a decision....
  12. Awesome @rntoserve!!! ED position?? And I only have my BLS through AHA as well. I was told we would be able to obtain our ACLS through them once we're hired on! (:
  13. SO AWESOME! Congrats @RM214102!! Thank you so much for the insight as well. It really helps to ease the nerves! I turned down a position with Seton for this interview with BSWH, so hopefully I made the right decision (':
  14. Same! Spelling error on my last post, I meant... Also any TIPS from anyone in regards to the actual interview? What has one been like? Anything I can do to prep? Hopefully someone has gone through process will respond for us @TXSRN401. Always nice to hear from someone who has been through it to calm the nerves! lol
  15. Awesome!! Good luck to you! Are aware of how many positions are open or the name of the person you are interviewing with? Also any times from anyone in regards to the actual interview?? What has one been like? Anything I can do to prep?
  16. I have an interview on the 23rd for the ER at the Temple location
  17. My interview is this Thurs at 1:30 Texas time! When is yours?! Good luck to you! I'll say a prayer for us (:
  18. I'm not sure if this is the number you would call, but on an email I received after I applied it said " If you have any questions, please call Candidate Care at 1-855-778-6037, M-F between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM CST." Hope that helps!
  19. I did my video interview on 2/18 and barely had a call yesterday - so I wouldn't count yourself out!!
  20. i submitted an online interview 2/18 and barely received a call today for an in-person interview, because I am out-of-state I will have to do a Skype interview. I I don't know what units you all are interested in - Dennis told me today that the Round Rock location has interviewed/filled their ED positions. I will be interviewing for a position for Round Rock med surg. I also have an interview for Taylor location ED. And a tentative interview for Temple ED.
  21. I'd love to know more about the Seton Hays location as well. I attended the open house and applied on March 2nd to the emergency department and was contacted yesterday regarding an interview. Since I am out of state I had to schedule a phone interview. I know they are currently a level 3 but by fall 2018 they will be moving towards level 2 trauma status. If anyone else had an interview I would love to hear how it went/what to expect and anything else about the Kyle location! Thank you!
  22. I don't personally know the exact number of spots per location but when I asked at the open house I was told 2 for labor and delivery and 2 for peds ED, 2 ED Hays, and 2 ED round rock location. I do know that they did not post an oncology position but people are getting interviews simply from the open house for that unit. I did receive a call and have a scheduled interview for the ED Hays location.
  23. Really?!! I had asked them as well and one of the ED Reps just told me that the representative for that location just couldn't make it but they'd pass along the resume and stuff..... ?! So frustrating! Thanks for the insight!
  24. Well they have the Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, in Austin which is different from the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, at least that was my understanding??... I'm from out of state so it's hard differentiating everything online Lol I'm just "patiently" waiting for them to post that ED position, anyone know of someone to contact regarding more info?
  25. Am I missing something or has Dell Seton Adults ED not posted?? Are they planning to put all units up because I noticed oncology didn't post?? Anyone have any insight?
