I did get my CA nursing license. It took me 8 weeks from the end of January to the end of March. I did the fingerprints by mail. Unfortunately Roseville doesn't have a lot of job openings. Three weeks ago I began applying for jobs around Sacramento and Roseville. No luck yet. I'm getting turned down for most things but I can attribute that to my lack of experience. Sutter Sacramento and Mercy General seem slow with getting back to me but I am keeping my head up. Hopefully someone get back to me soon.

Hi! I'm looking to relocate to the Roseville area this summer. I'm currently in Minnesota. I have a BSN RN, I will have 2 years experience in a Med/Surg floor, ACLS, charge nurse, and preceptor experience. I will have my CA nursing license by the time I apply. Has anyone else had experience getting hired out of state? I'm looking into applying at Dignity health, Sutter Roseville, and Kaiser. Does anyone know if any of these hospitals offer telephone interviews? How long this process might take? I'm worried I will not be considered as a candidate since I am out of state. Any tips would be great!
