Is there a "nursing for dummies" type book?

I work in LTC. Sometimes when a resident is acting lethargic, I forget what should I do. I mean I realize that maybe I should see if they're on a narc, if they've eaten, maybe blood work, but I wish I had a lay out, like a check list of things to do

Is there a "nursing for dummies" type book?

Sometimes I find myself going blank as what I should do for care. Obviously chocking, and unresponsive comes easy. But I wish there was a quick reference book of what I should do if someone is more lethargic than normal. Stuff like that..

First time as a nurse supervisor. Tips?

I just got a new position as a charge nurse in a assistant living facility that's near home and pays great! Yay! Ive worked at a few assistant living facilities but never as a lead supervisor and I'm nervous. I have NO MANAGEMENT SKILLS. None. What are are some tips you all can provide me? I am confident in my med pass and care. What are some things I should look out for? Especially when it comes to management, family members, and paperwork. Also what are some things that I NEED to know? Thanks!!

    Book Recommendations?

I purchased a wonderful pocket guide for nursing that has been absolutely wonderful as far as medication and side effects go. I am now wondering if anyone has any recommendations for me as far as nursing interventions go. I'm a new nurse and sometimes I totally forget what to do and how to do it.
