  1. Thank you!! Great advice!
  2. This is gold! Thank you!!
  3. I am getting ready to start an ADN program on Monday. It is an 18-month program with six, 11-week quarters. My question for you all is how many hours a week do you spend studying outside of the classroom? I am sure it may be different depending on study habits, class schedule and so forth but, I just wanted to get an estimate. Thanks!!!
  4. I do. I've tried the Dansko shoes and I just didn't like them. But, a lot of people love them! I like Nike fly knit running shoes. They are the only shoes that haven't hurt my feet. I recently started wearing Lems. So far they are great! You can buy them online or in Boulder:)
  5. The girl I talked to said someone told her there are 16 in our cohort. And, yes to the scrubs!
  6. I was bummed because I really wanted group 1. I'm so excited and nervous!
  7. Ha! Same! I luckily ended up sitting by an ADN student. I'm in lab group 2. What about you?
  8. I just checked my email! Got it! Yay! So excited:)
  9. What?? I just checked!! I don't see them:(( where are they??
  10. Nice!! Well, I'll see you on the 20th!!
  11. Yay! Same!! Are you going to the CPR class on the 20th after orientation?
  12. Yay! Congratulations!!! What time are you going? I'll be there at 10:)
  13. The grammar wasn't bad either. You will be fine! Good luck!!
  14. I feel ya! Be very comfortable with ratios, proportions, and percentages. I had a lot of those questions. Also, make sure and know your conversions. I actually forgot to take the drug test and remembered once I got on I-25 so, I will be doing it when I go back next week. I did meet with financial aid today but, they only gave me some papers that I need to bring back next week and then that's when everything gets finalized.
  15. Hi! So, I took the Hesi today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I scored a 90. After, I looked at scrubs to see what my size is and took my picture for my student ID. I go back next week to meet with financial aid. It's starting to feel more like this is actually happening:) Anyway, just wanted to share!
  16. Nice! What is your name? I look forward to meeting you at orientation!! I'm Kim, btw:)
  17. Sweet! I am super excited! I haven't met anyone else yet either, but I am looking forward to it! What area of the city are you coming from? I'll be commuting from the north Thornton area. I am hoping to take the bus to save some money on gas and parking!
  18. Yay! I take the HESI on Wednesday! What did you think about the school? When do you take the hesi?
  19. I did! It went really well, everyone was super nice and I got a really good feel from the program and the people and the whole environment! I go back next week to take my hesi!!
  20. That's a bummer that some of your credits won't transfer. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!!
  21. I feel the same way! I decided to go with DCN because their Nclex pass rates are quite a bit higher than FRCC and Arapahoe. Also, the program will end a whole year earlier than FRCC. Have you decided what you are going to do??
  22. I'm in the same situation! I was planning on applying to both those schools as well for the spring start! I really am torn! The cost of tuition kills me but what if I don't get on at FRCC...I think I'm goong to go to the interview and at least see what it's all about!
  23. Thank you! I submitted my application on May 12. Please let me know when you hear something!! Hang in there, waiting can be hard! Good luck!
  24. I actually got an interview email today! I know the website does say it can take up to six weeks. Hopefully, you'll be hearing something soon!! I am going to set an interview up but I am still undecided as whether I want to attend there or not. Do you know anybody personally who is a student there?
  25. Hey! I just posted on another thread, but, yes, I applied to the October ADN program! I'm so excited to hear something soon!
