  1. Can we all just take a moment to laugh at the fact we're all duds? LOL I don't think this has ever happened in AllNurses history! I wish the best of luck to you new nurses; we will all wind up where we are supposed to be! Also CHOA posted their July/Aug residency a couple weeks ago so hopefully you all applied to that! Goodluck again (:
  2. I've tried to call HR several times and everytime I pick the option to talk to a live person, the line cuts off and the phone hangs up lol. I wonder if they'll reach out to the people who they're interested in as well as those they are not.
  3. It's good to hear they're still doing digital interviews because it might answer as to why I haven't heard anything back yet, lol. I did my interview mid January and expected to hear something in the beginning of March. It's only the 17th but ugh... so stressed lol.
  4. KLouis, how has the residency been? I just applied to the summer 2018 one, & I'm really interested in it!
  5. Has anyone heard anything back yet?
  6. Yes transportation is a huge factor. So right now I'm trying to figure out where to live that's not too costly, close to MARTA and safe. I plan to visit next month to get a better idea. You'd put Grady at your bottom?! Do you mind sharing why? I did a lot of research and Grady seemed ideal; whereas Northside didn't get great reviews at all.
  7. I put a copy of my CPR card and my letters of recommendation in the "Other Supporting Documentation" spot.
  8. I'm from PA too! It's great to see other new nurses looking to relocate! And yes, I'm in the same boat. I saw that people didn't hear anything back until March as well. So, I guess it's just a waiting game at this point!
  9. Like kac97 said the questions were super similar to the ones listed in the previous CHOA Residency thread from a few years ago. There are 10 questions based on your opinions, clinical experience, future plans, etc. I'd never done anything like that, so I hope my personality came across in the interview. Based on the previous thread, I'm not expecting to hear anything back until March.
  10. Hi nurses! I haven't seen a thread for CHOA's summer 2018 residency program, so I figured I'd try to get one going. I recently applied and completed a digital interview. It'd be great to see how everyone else is progressing! Please post any questions or updates you have!! :)
  11. How was the residency program? I have been looking everywhere for reviews but I only found a couple and they weren't great. (Sorry I think I'm too new to DM)
  12. Thank-you so much! I will definitely do my research on the places you mentioned!
  13. Hey! I'm also looking into residencies in ATL. This summer I did a TON of research on almost all ATL has to offer including Northside. What I found was pretty bad, so I just recommend looking into their program before committing. I will admit that in some reviews I couldn't discern whether the person was speaking about the New Grad program or another residency-like program Northiside has for experienced nurses. However, in some of the reviews, people spoke about forfeiting the contract just to get out of the program. I have no agenda except a heads up! New grads have to look out for eachother :) Goodluck!
  14. I graduate in May and plan to relocate to Atlanta if I am offered a residency position at CHOA, Wellstar, Grady or Piedmont. Has anyone done this recently? Any advice or lessons learned that anyone wants to share would be greatly appreciated. For instance, living in the immediate city can be convenient but expensive, are their outside neighborhoods I should gravitate to and/or ones to avoid? How did you go about meeting people and socializing. Did you visit before you made the move? HELP!
