Stony Brook University FNP - 2026
For those who received an acceptance email- other than going in to the portal and accepting, sending official transcripts and making sure they have immunization records, have you been provided with any other formal checklist, tuition payment option, information about courses/schedule? I went to Stony Brook for my previous degrees, so I have my Solar login, but I have nothing in "My Tasks" no holds etc. I know it's early- just making sure I'm not missing anything!

The acceptance option still hasn't appeared for me, but they did say it could take up to 48 hours. What tab was it under? I hope I'm not missing it! I agree about facebook group! If anyone feels comfortable posting their names I could make it. Or, my name is Coleen Bergin on Facebook if someone else wants to start it :)

Here is a post regarding alternate list I found: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-discussion/alternate-listed-276750.html I emailed a question and received a response almost immediately, so that's an option. It sounds similar to a wait list, but maybe higher priority? I hope you get in!

Hi everyone, I'm concerned that applying to the 2 year basic baccalaureate program at SBU will hinder my chances of getting into the accelerated program. I just feel that they really pushed applying to both (I understand why re: deadlines), but the application definitely has the ability to field applications by those who also applied to the accelerated. Maybe I am overthinking it, but I VERY much prefer the accelerated. I wonder if they prioritize those who apply to both by putting those applicants in the less competitive program (so that they can potentially still have them as a student and offer the accelerated to someone who only applied to that program) Does that make sense? Haha

Hey everyone- I was told applications are still being reviewed and decisions are expected to go out up until mid January. Good luck to you all!
