To check your application status, go to Simon, then click the Student Services Tab. Click on the Admissions link. Towards the bottom of the page, you will see the area that says "Applications in Progress" or "Processed Aplications" depending on whether it's been processed yet or not. There should be a clickable link that is the name of the term you applied for (Fall 2019). If you click on that, your application summery will come up. Your "application status" will be there. Once it goes to "application under review", you know they're looking over the applications. It won't change until weeks later when they send out all the decisions at around the same day or so.

Hi everyone, I was accepted to the ccbc RN program last semester. I know I was very nervous and wanted to know as much as possible when applying, but I could never find anyone who was accepted who came back to give us applicants any info (they were probably super busy with school ? ). I can't give anymore specifics on the actual classes though, because I ended up not attending that semester for personal reasons. My stats were TEAS 90, GPA 3.85, and had everything done except that I was enrolled in A&P 2 when I applied. All of my nursing prereqs were A's except for a couple B's in the non-science courses. Just FYI, CCBC will send you an email to let you know whether you are accepted. The deadline for Spring was August 31, and the CCBC decision email came out on October 23. The time-frame varies, as they confer with the ATB programs each submission cycle (our decisions were almost 3 weeks later than usual because of this, but it varies), so do not hold your breathe for an exact date on the decision email! The ATB decisions come after the CCBC decisions, and those times vary as well depending on each school. When you get your acceptance email, they will tell you that you need to pay your seat fee on Simon (it appears as a separate charge), and there will be a link in the email for you to click on to officially accept or decline your spot. Be aware that they give you less than a month to pay your $200 seat fee from the time of your acceptance email arriving (they gave us ~3 weeks). They also sent us an email saying that laptops are now required for students because they will be using a testing system that mimics the NCLEX, thus you must purchase your own laptop and pay for that testing software ($25/month). They will also send you additional emails giving info on the mandatory PROGRAM orientation (it was about 2 months after the acceptance email came), uniform fees (they recommend $120-$130 for two uniforms which can be ordered and tried on at nursing orientation). The email also states that you will receive info at the orientation about the required Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR), Health Insurance, Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Exam, and Proof of Immunizations. After the PROGRAM orientation, there is a separate School of Health Professions mandatory orientation (held about 1 month after the Nursing Program orientation). I've been to that before because I did a different program in the SHP in the past, and the SHP orientation is just going over school codes of ethics (don't cheat, no plagiarism, ect.). Keep in mind that the program is constantly changing, improving, ect so what was occurring last semester may be totally different this semester! Just take a breath, stay calm, and realize that either way, you will be ok ?

I have decision made, no seat fee today as of 10:50am. I applied to Catonsville hybrid.

They should have emailed all of the applicants to indicate the deviation from the published wait time, especially because the Spring semester class withdrawal deadline is April 9th. Their delay could cause major problems for some people.

cvaughters89 I think you are right. Most semesters have "decision made" on Monday or Tuesday afternoon, then the official email the next day. Even though I know its too early, I can't stop checking Simon though heh.

I was not going to apply this semester because I'm still in A&P2, but I figured it can't hurt to try. My GPA is a little low as well from taking a lot of chemistry courses in the past, which is not my strongest subject (I graduated from CCBC's Medical Laboratory Technology program a few years ago... it was chemistry heavy to say the least ) -Overall GPA? 3.53 -Science GPA (bio 220,221,230)? 3.66 -TEAS score (overall and reading)? 90.7 overall, reading 95.7 -Do you have all of your classes done, or are you still taking some this semester? I'm done everything except A&P2, which I am in currently (risky, I know!) -What campus & program you applied to? Catonsville Hybrid, Frostburg ATB and Stevenson ATB koalawolla, I think you still have time to improve your GPA before you apply, if you can get A's in your A&P courses, that will help your chances. Thanks for calling, I've tried emailing them and they don't give any info like they have in past years. I guess they are getting more strict with info. Maybe they know we share it amongst ourselves heh! No one else on here applied for the hybrid program? Anyone know someone who has?

Today is the day everyone! It is officially 6 weeks since the deadline! Judging from previous semesters, they usually post a seat fee on or around the 20th, and send out the official emails the next day. But who knows, it could be any day now! Good luck to everyone, and try to stay calm

I'm sorry, I misread the email! Here is what the actual email says from Elizabeth Webster in the SHP department: "The Catonsville campus usually has a starting class of 62 and the Essex campus takes in more students. How many the Catonsville campus takes in each semester depends on how many open seats there are (there may be seats taken up by students repeating the course). I do not know how many students applied as the School of Health Admissions' office has that data." I tried emailing another person from the SHP office as well, and she said they do not have the stats yet, and she didn't know if she could release that info. to students. I know people have gotten stats in previous years, so maybe they are being more strict with releasing them now? Its silly how they keep so much of the information secret at CCBC! They should openly display the stats like medical schools do.

So far no one can give me an answer except that Essex has 62 spots, and that Catonsville spots depends on how many people are repeating the nursing program this cycle. I emailed someone else just now, maybe she can give some insight.

Ah, OK. I panicked because I thought there may have been a second letter about the nursing program already. Phew! Yeah, I received the "university" only letter of admission also. By the way, just curious... did anyone else apply while still taking CCBC prerequisites this spring? I am still in A&P2 at the moment, and it seems like I am the only one in the entire class who applied already. When I mentioned that I had already applied, a few people seemed surprised, as if I were crazy to have chanced it while still in A&P2. I know a lot of people apply with the ATB prerequisites still in progress, but I have not heard of many people who are still in Micro or A&P2.

Did FSU only send a letter, or did they send an email as well? Stevenson sent me an email saying that their decision letters will not be sent out until April 21st.

Only about 26 days left until we should hear something! The Fall 2017 class received their decisions around March 20th.

Yes, I've heard FSU isn't too hard, just paper heavy. And the tuition is not that expensive. I didn't realize that Stevenson gives CCBC students a discount on tuition and no fees though, which actually made them the most inexpensive option. You start out gong face to face, then eventually it's all online.

Yes, FSU is my second choice as well :) FSU sent me the same thing, but you should have a little piece of paper that says if you are an RN-BSN or ATB student, don't pay the fee yet until you hear if you've been accepted into the FSU nursing program in a few weeks. I think it means that you were accepted into the university itself, but not the RN program yet. What was your first choice? My first is Stevenson.
