  1. I have 5 too! They're 11,9,7,4,and 2! Should be interesting to say the least!
  2. My oldest is 11, but I'm 30. I'm also attending Baltimore!
  3. Are any of you non traditional students, like older or with children? I'm freaking out about starting this with kiddos and I'd love to connect with others in my situation.
  4. I have the same issue and just called. They said as long as it is a Summer 1 course, which yours is since in ends in the beginning of summer, then it will not be an issue. You just send in your updated transcript as soon as you complete the course.
  5. I got in! Provisional admit for Baltimore location. Congratulations everyone!
  6. Thanks, I have until April 9th to submit my Letter of Intent to Towson. So I'm going to go ahead and do that and hope for UMD too. The drive is what's really making me consider Towson over UMD, since I have no choice but to be a commuter. I just think of UMSON being a more reputable school and my ultimate plan is to be a CRNA, so I think UMSON may be a better option. So many factors like you said!
  7. I just got accepted to Towson Nursing Program. Does anyone have any insight on the pros or cons of UMSON versus Towson?
  8. I got in at main campus!!!! Woohoo!!
  9. Congratulations!!!! I can't imagine the excitement!
  10. I got an email from my adviser at Towson informing that acceptance letters have been sent and we will receive them within the week. Oh the nerves!
  11. Mine said this before emails/calls.
  12. Yea got my email too! Name starts with B. We're getting close everyone!!
  13. My status has said committee ready for a couple weeks.
  14. Just realizing I didn't post stats in my original post. GPA: 3.66 Science GPA: 3.8 TEAS: 84.7
  15. Also got the call! I applied at Baltimore Campus. Is that a routine call that everyone gets?
  16. HAHA, glad I'm not the only one who counted!
  17. Yes, I got it 2/1 also. I also pathetically counted how many people were emailed lol. 267 people to compete with.
  18. Well hopefully we both get in and can be momma nursing students together! Best of luck!
  19. You should have no problem with acceptance! Your TEAS score is phenomenal!!
  20. Yea, I looked back to see and the switch to Committee Ready has always taken a lot longer in comparison. Maybe it's a good sign, I'd like to believe that!
  21. Does anyone know an approximate time frame that decisions come out? My application status just changed to "Committee Ready" and it made me even more anxious, even though I'm sure it will be months from now.
  22. It's never too late!! I am 29 with 5 children returning to school. It has been the biggest challenge of my life, but the time has flown by looking back. I haven't gotten into a nursing program yet, but I will be 30 when I do. It is better to do it now than to look back later in life and wonder "what if". You've got this! If it's something you really want don't let any age stigma stop you! I am 100% a better student as an adult. My time management is perfected and I know I'm running out of years so to speak and it's my money paying for it, so I need to make it worth it. Good luck in whatever you choose!
  23. I applied to Baltimore campus.
  24. I found the TEAS to be SO much easier than the study material. So as long as you study the manuals and study guides, you'll be well equipped! I am most nervous about my resume. I'm not a traditional student, I'm 30 (with a lot of babies lol) and have spent the last decade home raising my children so I literally have zero professional experience. I'm just hoping my good grades are a saving grace for me. My application status is now "Complete and Ready for Review" so here's to spending the next few months in complete anxiety mode!
  25. I called yesterday to be sure and they said emails should be out by the end of this week. I too will be under a constant anxiety attack! I have no backup plan if I don't get into a nursing school!
