  1. I am currently a Patient Care Assistant I (PCA) at a local Houston, TX Hospital. I am applying for a PCA II position at a different local Houston, TX hospital that states in the job description that as a PCA II I will perform Sterile Procedures, including Urinary Cauterization. Is this in my scope of practice? My understanding is that a PCA is still a CNA. Is this incorrect and are there different guidelines for the two job titles? Thanks for the clarification in advance, it is very appreciated.
