  1. Hi, an educator of mine whom I trust very much recently told me in response to my complaints about my job that "you will always feel overworked and undervalued". This was very discouraging to me! I've been in my first nursing job for about a year and a half so am still getting my bearings in terms of understanding what aspects of my job are true of my job area only vs nursing as a whole. I work in a clinic and struggle with acting as a middleman between everyone and/or as gatekeeper for the doctors; dealing with critical/impatient/temperamental doctors; and doing administrative work like scheduling, prior auths, and record retrieval (or being criticized when the individual I delegated said work to does something incorrectly). Any input, thoughts, or advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hey all! Has anyone had any really great experiences/programs for short-term abroad nursing? I'll be in-between jobs in about six months and would like to start planning a short trip - likely 1-2 weeks in length and taking place somewhere in Central/South America. Any input you have is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
  3. Hey all! I see teaching in my future and I'd love to do so at the college/university level. A lot of my nursing school professors were PhD certified but I'd rather not go down that route. Have a lot of you had master's-certified professors in the past? Does anyone know how likely one is to get a teaching job with an MSN? Thank you!!!
