For inpatient NPs who require physician collaboration, up to how many attendings do you work with in any given shift? For example, on a weekend I could potentially cover 5 patients with up to 5 different attendings, and so would theoretically need to round or communicate with 5 attendings throughout the day. Anyone else have a staffing model like this? Aside from being cumbersome and inefficient, I'm looking for reasons as to why we should limit the number of attendings whose patients we cover.
