  1. Dear Fellow NP's, Can someone give me some suggestions as to how much to pay collaborating physicians? Here are the two scenarios for which I'm interested in some guidelines. #1) I practice in a nursing home, independently. I do my own billing, and see all my doctor's patients. He is required to look at 20% of my charts each month, and also has legal responsibility for the patients (i.e. he's the attending physician). What is a fair amount to pay him each month for his oversight and responsibilities? #2) In this scenario, I am seeing patients independently. My physician reviews 20% of my charts each month, and provides me with some administrative help (prescription pads, form completions, coming to see my patients when asked, paying someone to answer the after hours phone calls, etc.). What is a fair amount to reimburse him in this scenario? Thanks. Bob
