  1. I would definitely stay hopeful y'all. I know TCC applications are opening in a couple months as well and that may cause people to forfeit their seats. Good luck!!
  2. klemi001, Dont be discouraged someone mentioned that they send them out in groups. So some might get it through out the day!
  3. Woohoo! I had a friend who had really good stats but ended up changing her mind about applying this cycle.
  4. woot woot congrats mgnhly!! yes love:) you totally have to make one!
  5. Yay congrats love:) !!!!!!
  6. Congrats Tigrissa!!! I got in too!!!!
  7. Do you think they send out the decisions at midnight or morning?
  8. Good luck everyone!! Looking forward to hearing all of our decisions tomorrow
  9. Happy Birthday Klemi001 !!! Hope you enjoyed the day
  10. Yay! Didnt know you had a little one too! We got this though. Im going to see how these first few months go. Omg approximately one more week left!
  11. Tell me about it! Oh thats good at least that'll keep you busy. Where are you taking the class? I was gonna take micro in the summer at TCC but Im just taking it in the fall. And yes ive been wondering how many people applied haha. I really wanted to enjoy the summer since my youngest starts preschool in September. Hes only 3 haha so ive been sad about that. Also wondering how my hubby and I will navigate things if I actually get into the program. Is this your first degree or are you pursuing something else?
  12. What are y'all doing to pass time?? hahah Im legit always thinking about decisions next week! Is anyone not working or taking classes this summer?
  13. Also I've had to retake ENG1 and ENG2 because I took them about 10+ years ago and I had C's. I had no motivation back then. Also I took chem and A&P2 together this past semester and although I got an A in Chem I got a B in A&P2. Honestly I feel like sentaras my only chance and trying not to feel discouraged. Im so nervous for the results at the end of this month!
  14. Mgnhly, you have some awesome stats. I think that was the average last year for sentaras program. That means some people got lower stats and still got in. You should totally feel motivated and encouraged. I think we've all got this!
  15. I went in to Chemistry with the mentality that i'd do whatever it takes to get an A. I told myself it was doable and if I needed tutoring I'd get it. I also stayed prayed up haha. I'd definitely message your professor, read your syllabus, find out how he/she grades, how they test, study practice problems over and over. Im not this perfect student and I managed to get an A while also taking A&P2. You have to set yourself up for success. Bug your professor!! You got this.
  16. So sorry you didn't get in. Did you find out what the average stats for admitted applicants were? Like what are the determining factors for the program: gpa, teas/hesi score, previous healthcare experience, previous degree, etc. Then depending on what they look at i'd improve for the next cycle. Like if they emphasize GPA try retaking any classes you do not have an A in. Also retaking entrance exam if your score wasn't high enough. Get healthcare experience if that helps your application and so on and so forth. I also second applying to every program in your area. Good luck!
  17. Hi! Thats so exciting. Yeah 4.0 gpa and 84 TEAS score. What about you?
  18. Yes! Im so excited and nervous at the same time. Cannot wait to see what the results will be. Rooting for all of us!!!!
  19. Omg thats so funny cause thats the color i wanted black with rainbow! I think its super cute. Tell me about it! Cant believe were almost in the single digits of days til deadline.
  20. Hahahaa thats so funny and same here. I believe its that carribean blue color? with rainbow bell. I think it may be a classic III was about 40-50$ from the amazon warehouse sale. Im actually glad I got is early because my son gets really bad asthma and so I can keep an eye on his wheezing and such.
  21. Yass didnt know about the lower teas average. Omg is everyone eating and sleeping nursing related stuff? hahahah it legit feels like thats all i think about and talk about with people. Have any of yall started picking up supplies? Don't laugh but i purchased a littman steth months ago for super cheap. Mainly for motivation everytime i look at it and also cause it was a good deal on amazon lol.
  22. Agreed everyone has some good stats!! I remember i went to an information session last summer(2017) with Sentara and they told me admitted GPA average was about 3.5 (which several get in with lower) and TEAS was 76-ish. And I agree with Hellosentara on the 3.3 average! It really all depends on the application pool.
  23. Those are awesome stats!! I worked so hard for that 84 i cant see myself geting a higher score its a tough exam. So definitely kudos and you have a great chance! I started looking at all the previous year posts about sentara applicants and the stats were so different every year. Ive definitely heard of applicants getting in with that GPA especially with a really good TEAS score.
  24. Omg I finally got my TEAS score! I got an 84.7! Ive been freaking out checking daily cause I still hadn't gotten my score yet. Hoping this with the 4.0 will be good enough stats. Super excited for all of us. Cant believe acceptance letters are about a month away! So another thing i've been thinking about is the fact that I just finished my associates at TCC and i'm hoping it pops up before on my transcript before the last day of application so i dont have to take extra prereqs in the fall.
  25. I've hear that ECPI doesn't have a great reputation within hospitals in VA. Also that they do not prepare their nurses well. It's extremely expensive on top of everything. I'd thought about ECPI as well but their VA Beach location. Ended up waiting it out and im applying to a different program instead.
