  1. Hi everyone, I'm new here and was hoping to hear the thoughts of all of you regarding what you thought about my previous healthcare experience and if you think I have a good chance of getting into a direct entry masters program (preferably graduating with NP instead of a general MSN). I've been a registered dietitian at a dialysis clinic for 6 years now and love what I do, but do not feel challenged and often feel like my hands are tied due to wanting to do more for my patients. I am fluent in both Spanish and English which I hope will be looked at as preferable by admissions. I graduated with a 3.83 GPA in 2010. I have retaken A&P I and II. I plan on retaking statistics next semester. I prefer not to take the GRE as I'd like to spend my time retaking classes instead of studying for it since it will be material that will help me once in the program. I'm looking at several programs, which include Samuel Merritt, the University of Rochester, Marquette, DePaul University, Simmons, and Seattle University. Do you think my chances are good of getting in my first try? Some programs have a 10 year limit on classes and mine will be expiring for certain courses and I'd rather not have to retake them all. Thank you everyone!
