  1. Hearing Aids and surgery

    Do you know of anyone who works in the OR and uses a Bone Anchor Hearing Aid (BAHA for short)? I'm looking at getting one to help hear my coworkers during surgery, but I don't know how this particular hearing aid will function when a surgical cap comes into play. If you've seen anyone use a hearing aid in surgery for unilateral hearing loss, please let me know what you've seen to be effective.

  2. Putting in a year.

    I'm on my last home stretch to get an ADN RN, and all of my instructors and local administrators are telling me I need to "Put in my year on the Medical Surgical floor. Does anyone have any thoughts on how beneficial putting a year in actually is for your career and your skill set?
