  1. No skills test for license?

    I took a CNA class and there was both a written and skills test to be licensed but it looks like there’s no skills test for RN licenses? I had assumed there would be a skills test to get a license but I can’t find anything about a skills test for licensure online. Do they just consider that you had to pass skills tests and clinical in school to be eligible to sit for NCLEX? I hear nursing students say “I passed my boards.” Are boards the skills test, or just the NCLEX or something entirely different? (Sorry if I’m wrong about everything or sound really naive, I haven’t even started nursing school yet!)
