BSN right away OR community college RN, then BSN
That is not at all petty! It is an extremely valid thing to desire! :)

The Hardest States to Become a Nurse
What states are the hardest to become licensed in? This includes wait times. I saw in a post that it was a 7 month wait to be licensed in California...eek! I assume that the NCLEX is different in all states. Is it more difficult in some than others? Also if a person goes to school in a state, is it always easier for them to become employed in that state and pass the licensing test in that specific state. It seems like there should be reciprocity or a national based license... Thanks for your help!

US citizen, trained in Australia wants to come back to work in US
What did you end up doing? I would like to return to the US after I finish my Australian nursing degree

What do you like most about your specialty?
The worst part is that my manager sucks; he rarely acknowledges a job well done and almost always has a negative thing to say. It's a downer and our entire team's morale is actually pretty low because of this. Lots of great nurses are leaving That sucks! I'm so sorry. I've read before that a bad boss is the number 1 reason why people leave their jobs

Why do some nurses hate it in others pump at work?
This doesn't seem fair to me at all. Mothers have the right to do what is best for their children

New Grad Program Salary in Australia
Hi all, I'm wondering if a new grad program salary is comparable to that of a first year nurse. I live in Melbourne and starting salaries (from what I looked at) don't seem that great to begin. So it makes me nervous if a new grad salary was even lower. Please let me know if you have any experience with a new grad program. Also how is it different to being a new nurse and having a preceptor showing you around. Is a new grad program more thorough? Any pros and cons are appreciated. Thanks!

Military Nursing and working overseas
Thanks guys, it's not the my only reasoning but I am also asking out of curiosity. I'm not in real decision making mode yet because of being in school so it's fun to entertain different possibilities. I have a friend who married a guy who I believe is in the Navy. Anyway they lived in Hawaii for a few years and are now living outside of Amsterdam. I was like "woah, dreamssss." He's not a nurse but it makes me interested in what's out there. I promise you all I won't join the military as a nurse just because I think I'll be partying it up in London or Berlin every night. More trying to find what's out there for years and years down the road.

Military Nursing and working overseas
Hi All, Out of curiosity which military branch(es) would allow me the widest opportunity to be stationed overseas, mainly Europe? It would be a main motivating factor in my becoming a nurse officer. Also how much say would a new nurse officer have in choosing his or her station? Are some branches of the military better about this than others? I am in an accelerated nursing program (Masters for people holding non nursing degrees) and I know I have a long way to go with finishing school and getting experience, but it is something that excites me about the field and I think the military would be my best chance to be a nurse overseas. Thank you for your responses!
