  1. hi everyone becoming a labor and delivery nurse or possibly working in a nicu has been my dream for a long time now. I have decided I want to start nursing school and go for it. but realistically are there job out there . I'm from a small town with 2 near by hospital and a hour drive from a larger hospital. I have this fear that I will go through school and the jobs won't be out there for me. live near ottawa ontario if there is anyone out there with any info thanks
  2. hi all Little about myself. I'm a mother of 2 and due anytime with my third. I have always wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse and possibly work in the nicu. when our first 2 childeren were very young I took the personal support worker course and have worked in a long term care home for 5 years.. I do enjoy this work but seem to always feel like I want to do more. what I'm struggling with is if I would be able to handle the 4 year nursing program. I know it's a challenging course. 4 years seems like a long time and what if I can't handle it. I'm also from ontario . anyone out there taken the program and can give me some insight. what's it really like. any pointers. is there many jobs out there. I really want to get my dream job but I often think maybe it's to much right now and I should just stay where I am.
