For anyone still following this thread, I suggest you contact Mayo if you haven't heard anything from them. I emailed earlier today and asked if the final selections will be made soon and it turns out there was a glitch in the system and I was supposed to get an email from them yesterday. Thankfully, I was accepted! Anyway, just wanted to share that information and good luck to everyone! :)

Guys! I am sweatin'! Has anyone heard anything or seen any changes on their Mayo application? I have to sign a "contract" for another internship by Thursday so I'm hoping we hear ASAP. Ahhhh!

Nothing yet! I still keep checking even though it will probably be another week. Does anyone want to share what they put as top choices? I did trauma, medical ICU, and neuro ICU. Super excited to find out anything :)

I haven't turned in my preference list yet so I know there won't be any updates on Mayo's site for me. It is so exciting knowing there's a 50% chance we are in! I have a hunch we will find out if we are in or not a few days early...maybe by the 14th. Who knows though!

@rog999 Mine disappeared sometime this afternoon/evening as well. I feel like I'm even more nervous now that I know I've made it past the initial selection to presumably the top 100. Have you filled out your top preferences sheet? I wonder if it is "harder" to get in if you choose more "popular" specialties like one of the ICUs. Has anyone else accepted an internship at another hospital but would decline if Mayo offered them a position? I'm kind of dreading that conversation with HR if I were to get in haha

It is so hard to know how they make the selections. I got an email moving to the next round but my cumulative gpa isn't that great. I had a degree before choosing nursing and didn't do that well in school so my cumulative GPA is like 3.7 but I have a 4.0 since returning for nursing. It is hard to imagine that they read 1000 plus essays already though...that seems crazy. They did have those questions about if you'd worked in a hospital setting with patients (which I have)...that could have something to do with it? No idea though. I'm also wondering if they "accepted" more than 100 people into the final round because I feel like there are a lot of people just in this thread that got the email.

@Lilyb Thanks for the info! I've also been checking to see if the "withdraw" link was still active since in previous years it changed to inactive. I guess things are different since they changed the applicant portal. Also, I have no idea what I'll do for the preference sheet. A lot of the specialties aren't even offered in my hometown so I want to take the time to read about the ones I'm most interested in. Honestly, I'd be excited for anything...except for maybe OR haha

Does anyone know if they have narrowed it down to 100 like in similar years? I'm excited that we'll have a final answer by the middle of Feb!

Do you guys think we'll find out tomorrow? I'm so nervous! I really want to know either way so I can feel at peace and just start planning for the summer haha! Crossing my fingers for everyone :)

I know it will be at least another week but I'm already checking my app and email daily. It is like a nice little study break...finish an assignment...check email...finish another assignment...check the online app. I've already gone crazy waiting!
