  1. Would you suggest a dual certificate as in WHNP/FNP or WHNP/CNM?
  2. My back ground is in labor and delivery and I would still like to do something with prenatal or post partum women. I'm local to VA Beach, VA and I'm trying to decide on a specialty. I'm also new to this area so I am unfamiliar with the job market here. My ideal career would be in a obstetrics or women's health clinic. However, I am concerned if I only do WHNP then I'll be limiting job choices. Should I instead go for a FNP or dual FNP/WHNP? Thanks in advance.
  3. I had an old charge nurse that told me to do the opposite. She soaked the tip in hot water to soften the tip into a curled end. Then let it cool in the new shape before inserting it. Worked like a charm.
  4. You flush a little bit of NS and then advance the catheter. Some use this to get past a valve.
