  1. ok I guess that's the answer, thanks so much for taking your time to respond. I really appreciate it guys thanks.
  2. Hi everyone, what are signs that a patient is hypoxic while on a ventilator when the pulse ox is not working for 15 min? And the only thing available at the time are heart rate and blood pressure? If vital signs are not changing could patient still be hypoxic?
  3. Any students or grads from Georgetown crna program? Would like to know what you think of the program.
  4. Do more prestigious CRNA programs produce the best CRNA's? Is graduating from a more prestigious school a lot more beneficial to a new grad? In terms of finding job placement at a top choice hospital? Has anyone ever been in a position where they had the opportunity to attend a less prestigious school, but wanted to wait another year to make themselves more competitive to apply to more prestigious programs with a well known name?
  5. Hi all, I haven't heard much about this program and haven't met anyone who attends or has graduated from Rosalind Franklin. Are there any people around who can tell me about the program please? What things you like/dislike about the program? I appreciate the help. Thanks.
  6. @shananigan thanks so much for the support. I'm embarrassed to say but I only applied to one program. I'm unable to move at this time out of state so didn't have much options. I also applied to my number one choice that I've been dreaming of getting accepted since I was in nursing school. Having to make a plan and consider out of state programs is really tough mentally. I thought I had a good shot and don't know where I fell short. When is it appropriate to contact the program about how I could have made myself a more competitive applicant? At at this point I have made a list of programs with cities I would be able to move for the next round of applications next year. Is it appropriate to contact admissions at those programs and ask them what I can do to make myself more competitive? I have never done this in the past. This past year I dedicated a lot of time effort and money for acceptance in this program so it's really hit me hard. I'm having a hard time picking myself back up. This was my dream and I feel like I failed myself and those who have helped me get here. I know that at some point I have to start working on improving myself as a nurse and applicant. I'm thinking of retaking the gre and possibly taking a grad school class. I really appreciate your input. I almost felt like giving up on my dream of becoming a crna and felt that maybe this shows it wasn't for me. But I realized that I have done to much to quit that easily. Thanks again for your time, it means a lot. Congratulation on getting accepted, and I hope you are having a great time in your program.
  7. Is anyone else out there waitlisted? Or has been in the past? What are your thoughts on being waitlisted? Part of me wants to keep hope and part of me feels I should accept it as a soft no. I'm already looking at my options for applying next year. I can't help but feel crushed.
