Hi, I just got offered a position in the ER at texas childrens. I currently work in an IMU at memorial hermann, I love my team and job and was wondering how it is working at texas childrens? Im contemplating the move

Failed by one point!! Are you an RN now? How did you motivate yourself during that year to come back?

I failed my nursing dosage exam that we need a 90 and above to pass. I got an 80 on both attempts. The first time, I messed up the formula and the second time, I didnt read that we needed to round all answers to the tenth. I received an F in the course without even starting it and will have to wait till the fall to retake the class and continue in the program. Ive lost all motivation, and cant seem to get out of this depression. I just feel like my life keeps staying the same and when I finally was doing something I love, I failed. I feel like I will never get to be a CRNA with this failure over my head. I dont even know how im going to make it till the fall or even find the motivation. Did anyone else fail and now is living their dream as an RN?

@jenny897 no, but I already did my fingerprints and submitted all paperwork as soon as I got the alternate email

@daisyres Yeah, I did but I don't think they handle that. Its higher up. They may not having a ranking system and just reevaluate the alts whenever spots open.

@jenny897 @daisyres do you guys know if theres a way we can find out what number we are on alt list?

When you go to the texas board of nursing website and print out the declaratory order pages, it has it all in there

@jenny897 I am on the waitlist as well so what I am doing is sending the DO ASAP and I already scheduled my appointment for fingerprinting. I am not sure what to do because those on the waitlist did not receive anything additional.

@jdskaggs88 I was hesitant to send mine before acceptance because it says that process came later. I thought we had to wait till we got accepted. I have no idea how the process works.

@daisyres have you already accepted? Did everyone already receive their identigo email for the fingerprints? I still haven't received it. Or is that something we do on our own?

haha I meant I called San Jac and that was the response I got. Did you receive your email for fast pass already?

@daisyres Alvin but got denied! I tried to call and ask how many people they accept from waitlist and they said "idk". They can't even tell you what number you are, they don't handle that. I guess the department chair does. I tried looking through past forums too to see if someone had posted they were an alternate but nothing.

Has anyone else received an alternate email? Im nervous because I haven't seen anyone say they are alternates on the past san jac forums

my rubric score was in the 20's, I have a previous bachelors with a 3.89 GPA and I got a 98 on my HESI, have also completed all my pre reqs. So, I really don't understand their selection process. But yeah, those are my stats. Hopefully some people decline.

@Emr85 Thats what I posted on Tues :) If you don't hear back by the 17th, they said give them a call on Monday but everyone should be getting an acceptance or denial.

I just talked to Linda, she said that they are not done sending emails.They will be sending acceptance AND rejection letters sporadically throughout this week and next week. If you do not hear anything by friday 17th then give them a call that following monday.
