Stanford New Grad RN Residency Fall 2019
@Panda123 @LunaRN @Nutella10 I hope this isn’t adding salt to the wound, but our new grad program coordinator said that this past round of interviews was difficult and that the managers asked to hire more people but weren’t able to. I think the decision ultimately went to who they thought would get along best together. Since the application re-opens tomorrow, you should definitely re-apply! Good luck!!

After we get the verbal offer, we have 48 hours to accept. After we get the formal offer letter, we have 72 hours to sign and send it back along with license/certs

I haven't heard anything either. I logged into my candidate profile and saw that there's a new req now and the status on that req says "Verbal Offer." Do you all have that too?

Stanford New Grad RN Residency Fall 2019
@RNDiDi @Panda123 thank you so much! It is definitely a huge sigh of relief. I hope you hear back soon @Panda123!! Don't lose hope. It seems like they're still contacting people into next week despite what K posted on FB. Especially since he said interviews were complete a few days before some of us even interviewed!

I messaged you directly as well, but I specifically asked during the panel interview if we would have the opportunity to interview for multiple units because my friend in the previous cohort was able to, and they said not this year, so you must be a hot commodity!! Lol that's awesome though!!

When I interviewed, the manager told me directly they were hiring 2 for that unit, I’m not sure about other units

Mine was mostly behavioral, but I also had clinical scenarios. I was not expecting that at all ?

Oh totally read your response wrong. I think all my unit's interviews were conducted today. Ugh the wait is killing me already lol.

I have an MSN, did my preceptorship at Stanford, have non-clinical healthcare experience (finance/billing). I was told applications are "scored." You get points for any additional certifications you have, points for your answers to the application questions, and points for content on the letters of rec. Hope that helps!

Congrats on your offer!!!!! You must have smashed that interview for them to call you back so soon! Nope, the manager said we’d hear back tomorrow if selected. If not, HR will probably contact us Monday ?

Sorry late response, but I heard back shortly after we messaged. I had my interview today for urology/colorectal. I’m so nervous! They said they’re hiring 2 for my unit but I didn’t ask how many they were interviewing. Crossing my fingers for us!!

Stanford New Grad RN Residency Fall 2019
@kchu1294 @Swersching Hi, I’m not sure if you already do, but you both should follow the recruiter on Facebook. If you look at the post I screenshot, in the comments, he says he’ll give tips and pointers for the next round of applications that are opening in November. It seems like for this application, they focused on the content of the letters of rec. Since you have 2 months before the next round opens, if you don’t think your letters of rec were the best, you should definitely reach out to other clinical instructors! Hope this helps. Good luck, and stay positive! It took me 8+ months after I graduated to even get my first interview, so I understand this is hard to do, but I truly believe we all end up where we belong ☺️ P.S. I also panicked when I saw that they needed letters of rec from 2 nursing professors that oversaw our clinicals because I only had 1. I was hesitant to email my professors because I didn’t think they would remember me or be willing to write it, but just remember you have nothing to lose. Just make it easy for them. Tell them you’re willing to write it for them, and they just need to edit it; attach your old work and/or clinical journals to help refresh their memory; etc

I just got a call to interview next week for surgical. He said medical spots are full (but he's the recruiter for surgical only, so he doesn't know if the medical interview people were all called yet). Good luck everyone!!

On Facebook, I saw someone post that they were contacted yesterday for an interview with the "medical unit" next week (did not specify which medicine unit... Per the recruiter, the medicine units include General Medicine / Cardiology, Pulmonary Hypertension / Neurology, Stroke)

This is a screenshot from the recruiter's FB page. He encourages people to add him and share his page for updates because this is his Stanford recruitment page. Hope that helps ?

Thank you so much! Well...people who DID get interviews didn't have a notification change, so maybe that's a good thing for you and not so good thing for me lol

Does anyone know if calls were just 1 day or if they're continuing to makes calls? I saw that my status changed (highlighted yellow), but I can't click on anything to see what it changed to lol. I haven't received a rejection email yet, so I'm hoping that means I'm still in the running
