  1. I just passed my NCLEX and will be applying for jobs starting next week. Based on what I've seen/heard its difficult to find an LPN position that starts at 6:30 or 7 am. I am a single mom and need to get my kids to daycare before work but I have yet to find a daycare that opens before 6 am. So my question is, how do you single moms with an early start time do it? How do you get to work with a super early start time and still have your kids taken care of in the morning? I have been relying on my parents while I've been in school but they have both expressed to me the desire for less babysitting and wanting to have more time for themselves, which is totally understandable.
  2. I'm starting my final term of my LPN program and this term we are one on one with a preceptor. I will be working in a psychiatric hispital, which that part doesn't bother me at all. What I'm nervous and scared about is that I feel completely unprepared for this experience. I feel I don't know meds well enough, I'm very shy and not always sure how to interact with patients. I toured the unit a couple days ago and just seeing the chart room made me feel so overwhelmed. There's so much more, I can't even explain some of the fears and emotions I have. Please, any tips or advice on how to move forward with confidence would be greatly appreciated!
