Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice on a pretty complicated situation involving RN license reinstatement. A close friend of mine had her RN license revoked a couple of years ago. She has since done her time and successfully petitioned to get her license reinstated. She can fulfill all the court's conditions except one: providing bona fide transcripts from her school of nursing. Here's the catch: her nursing school shut down years ago from another country, and it is impossible to get those transcripts now. To make things more frustrating, the board of nursing actually has her only transcript, which is how she was able to take her NCLEX initially. So, what are her options? 1. Has anyone faced a similar issue or knows someone who has? 2. Are there alternative ways to prove her educational background that the board may accept? Any guidance or suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

do the pharm hw ahead of time, dont study anatomy or physio at all, they dont really go over it; its a good idea to read ahead of the semester because it will get intense soon

honestly for me, it isnt as stressful as everyone makes it out to be, but then again im one of the youngest with no other responsibilities like kids or jobs, so that might be a factor. im still in my first semester lol! its going good for me, as long as you listen to the teacher and do the study guides it should be good.

schedule for the first 3 weeks is like mon-thurs, with some fridays for labs; and then your clincials start on the 3/4 week i think, i dunno bc im still in the 2nd week lol! its really tiring. Monday is lecture from 7-3, tues wed is lab from 7-4, and then thurs (pharmacology) is from 8-11

hey all, a mt sac first semester nursing student floating by~ i was an alternate with around 72 pts, but thankfully i got in 4 weeks before school started! any questions with admissions I'm here to help lol

The 3 sciences and engl 1a are the only prerequisites to apply to the program. the other coursework gpa is just that, your non-prereq classes + english. once you're in the program, youll have to take lifespan development and psych i think before moving on to the 2nd semester program.

it was nice meeting you all this orientation! im still an alt tho but i still have hope!

yea i got the same info that theyll send emails the first 2 weeks of nov. they also told me to keep jan 8 -11 open.

a follow up appointment? did you have work experience and they're still calculating your points?

my stats btw: Science GPA: 3.67 Overall GPA: less than a 3.5 for sure TEAS: 88 - low income - no volunteer or work

yea so i called on monday and apparently they confirmed that i was supposed to receive a letter and i got all excited and happy... until they double checked and said that the letter is to say i was missing information like my AP scores and my diploma. i still haven't received that letter. what i dont understand is if that's the case, why haven't i gotten a rejection email? why send a letter to say im missing information? the hopeful part of me is saying that i got provisionally accepted and i just need to submit those in anyone else get a letter saying they have missing information? if so, what did it say please.

Yikes, I ain't got no BS degree and I only have a 3.67 science GPA. RIP

That's good! I'm just holding on to the chance the some of the top 60 go to their preferred school.

hi i applied to santa ana too! welp, 87.5 points is alot, im sure you'll make it in! I only have 47. 5 but for other school's multicriteria points i seemed okay lol hope im one of the randos!

how did you know how many points you have?

does anyone know how selective this school is? they have a multicriteria list but no points :? i also applied to cypress and santa ana, but their point system is insane. i only have like 41 points for santa ana lol

Did anyone hear anything from Rio hondo yet? I'm so nervous that they didn't get my teas test score or something :/ I wonder when they'll send scores

Yay!! congrats! that's so weird though. Only 95 people applied? They usually send emails to 100 people. Could it be that everyone who applied got an email? hmmm.
