  1. Hi sparklie.lady! I am starting UC's online FNP program January 8 (yes, in 5 days)!! I'm so excited, but very nervous. I don't exactly know what to expect. How was the pathophysiology class? I've heard it can be a beast and requires a lot of studying. I do not have children, but need to work full-time during the program. I'm trying to figure out how much free time I will end up having after work and school :/ but I know it'll be worth it in the end! I also am curious how clinical placements work during the second year. How long/hard did you search for a preceptor? Did UC assist at all? Any websites out there that can help you find someone? Thanks so much!
  2. Thank you for all the information! Very helpful! I've heard that finding your own preceptor can definitely be a drag. I will make sure to work on this ASAP! Just need to get information from UC first :)
  3. Thank you so much for all of the information! I've heard finding your own preceptor can be a real drag. Definitely something I will work on ASAP! I just need to get all of the information from UC first :)
  4. I never got alerted with all the comments! Congratulations everyone! I was accepted as well to begin on January 8, 2018. Thank you for setting up the FB group. I just requested to be in it! Good luck everyone and I can't wait to start!
  5. I just submitted my application to the University of Cincinnati for their FNP Program (fully online) starting Spring 2018. I talked to an advisor who said they have about a 50% acceptance rate. I have 3 years of nursing experience and graduated with a 3.7 GPA (for all 4 undergrad years). I am very nervous but excited! Who else has applied? Has anyone either completed the program or currently in the program? Would you recommend it? Pros and cons? How are clinicals once you start them the second year? Is it possible to work full time while completing the program? Any information/advice is helpful! Thanks so much!
