Has anyone received an interview for Insulin Acute Care or Surgical Specialties?

Jordanku89, what unit did you get into? Were you contacted about an interview soon after filling out application or did it take awhile to get an interview?

I also applied to insulin Acute care and have not gotten any calls or emails so far. I graduated in December with my BSN and received my license on 02/13/2018 after passing NCLEX my first try. I applied to Grad Nurse positions end of last year. The waiting game to hear back is crazy ☹️

Interesting. I am going to follow up on my interview tomorrow. I received the link for test but have not had an offer yet and thought that was odd. Hopefully an offer will come but I will check with recruiter tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

Did you receive the dosage exam before accepting offer and just wait to take it until after the offer or was it sent to you after your interview at same time as other info about your offer?

Did those that got hired take dosage calculation before or after ou were hired?

Has anyone accepted a general surgery GN position at Parkland for 2018?

There are not any residency positions posted on their career page currently. They had one up for a couple days last week that I am interviewing for next week but they took the post down after a couple of days. Keep checking their career page cause positions are usually not up long and next one does not start until June, I think

Great thoughts. I did not start applying to positions until mid November so I may have started a little late but my applications were put in quickly after positions were posted. A few of the departments I applied to may be run my the same director too, I think, which may be the reason there is no movement yet. I probably would do the same thing and take the position you were offered just for peace of mind that you are set for next year. I do not think I am the best candidate ever but I do have a BSN and other qualities that have gotten me in the door for interviews at UTSW and Children's Dallas so I am perplexed what reason Parkland would have for not setting up an interview. I will anxiously await to hear something. Having the next step for some be blank is frustrating. In purgatory as you stated.

And they just posted another Trauma residency position a few days ago. Trauma was one of the departments I applied to. There are residency positions now also that do not have a department listed. I questioned about one of these and was told it was for surgical specialties but did not state that. I really am interested in a residency position rather than other positions that hire new grads that are not a real interest to me. I do not mind waiting if there is hope but if I will not be considered, I wish that would be stated to move on. Have you tried calling?

I was able to have someone confirm that my BLS card information was received and that the next step would be departments I applied to must request an interview. I would love to confirm that they are still hiring for residency positions starting in January/February. They keep posting the positions so I assume the hiring process is still ongoing but I do not know anyone who recently had an interview scheduled so it kind of seems they are not doing much right now. I wonder if the holidays and vacations are putting delays in scheduling or reviewing applications at all.

I applied for trauma starting that starts in January. I was asked to provide a copy of my BLS card but nothing else so far.

I interviewed with UTSW last week. I know they were doing interviews through yesterday, I think, so maybe this week they will notify applicants.

I am interviewing for my first choice department, endocrinology. I am hoping all goes well and I can do the one interview and get into the program I really want.

I interviewed via phone with the recruiter for Medical City Children's on Monday and she said the only positions they have open for February so far are in CVICU.

@TexasGirl17 Just so you do not count yourself out at Children's Medical Center, I have been contacted for on site interview and my submission says "inactive". I was told that all applications say "inactive" once the submission end date has passed but that does not relate to your status as a candidate.
