  1. I called and left a message with GSU Student Health, Atlanta campus (404-413-1930) and the person that called me back seemed to know what I was talking about. She was able to squeeze me in for Monday morning when I told her all the forms are due Monday. I also went in to my provider's office yesterday and then realized that the PPD could only be done in certain places. Hildegaard, the ACEMAPP link came through GSU email from Wanda Little. It said 'an account has been registered for you with ACEMAPP'.
  2. Have y'all gone to student health to have the PPD skin test? Apparently this isn't something they'll accept from a physician's office.
  3. Congratulations Jasmine!!!! Wonderful news! What did yall do for the page 4 of the behaviors and policies page? I still haven't turned it in... There doesn't seem to be a place for it on Acemapp. And student0707, what did you upload for liability insurance? Will you be using the GSU student insurance? I'm a little confused. Hildegaard, were you able to access ACEMAPP?
  4. I don't know if anyone else was confused by the difference in liability insurance vs. personal health insurance, but I called 404-413-1200 and the gentleman I spoke with said they are the same. As long as we either have personal health insurance or get automatically enrolled in the GSU health insurance, we're covered for liability insurance as well. Per the guy on the phone.
  5. I just signed up with GA CPR - they have BLS certification with AHA credentials, you get your card the day of the class, they have Saturday classes if you need them, and it was only $55. GACPR | CPR Training in the Greater Atlanta Area
  6. I see some of them offer discounts for groups of 8 or more. Anyone interested in getting together a group?
  7. @bclark40 - if you find a place that is pretty affordable, will you let us know? I know GSU Nursing website has some qualifications that have to be met... CPR Classes
  8. bclark40 - that's awesome!!! Do you already have current CPR certification?
  9. According to the Spring 2018 flier in the iCollege PINS Review, all of our requirements are due on December 11th. The flier says this includes: immunizations, health documentations, liability insurance receipt, and CPR certification.... I'm not sure how we're supposed to get everything together when we haven't even received our acceptance packets yet, and when it's due right on the tail end of FINALS, but I guess the whirlwind starts now!
  10. Hey everyone - I just noticed that in iCollege, you can now see something called PINS Review that has a whole bunch of information regarding the program. PINS Review is listed like one of your classes... It probably has some of the information that will be coming in our acceptance packets like immunizations, CPR and health insurance. FYI
  11. My email came around 2:30 today... I know the years previous to this had acceptance emails in waves. Maybe how they process them; I don't know. But don't think the worst. I bet there will be another wave tomorrow.
  12. I got into ACE as welllllllllllll!!!!!! I'm so excited to meet y'all!!!!
  13. Congratulations Maddie_86 and rsiddiqui!!! So excited for both of you; this is just wonderful news!
  14. Yes daintyelbow!!! Time for some deep undercover research!
  15. Are we on a secret reality TV show where they try to see how much stress we can take until we break? I guess once the first person gets their acceptance we'll know how acceptance notifications are going to come out. There was one person on here that received their acceptance WEEKS ago, but to the program they didn't apply for. Daintyelbow, how did your friend that was accepted into traditional get the news? Sorry if you already mentioned it. All I know is that I'm still obsessively refreshing my GSU email even though I KNOW it refreshes itself. I can't help it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Please be safe!
  16. No... I have an obsession with my GSU email account though. I don't think it's very healthy. I won't be able to check my snail mail until this evening.
  17. You were placed on the waiting list??? Did you get the notification via email?
  18. Wow. That's insane. Did they just forget that they needed to evaluate our applications? I'm moving forward with KSU; if I get in at GSU great. But right now, I have to move forward with the school that respected my time. This is really disappointing and disrespectful to us as students.
  19. I also have lost all hope of hearing anything anytime soon. But Mariss1, I totally agree! This forum has been really great, just knowing we're all in the same boat. I really hope we all get in and get to continue this same support for each other as nursing students.
  20. I agree. So many of us are making really big decisions all dependent on acceptance or not - moving, quitting jobs, taking out massive private loans, etc. In my opinion, if it takes so long to make these decisions, why don't they just make the deadline earlier?
  21. I just looked at last year's thread and it seems like the first round got their acceptance emails on the 15th..... Let's keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow!
  22. So begins another long week of waiting. Let's stay strong!
  23. I KNOW, right? @Hildegaard. I don't know what's going on, or why they would get rid of email, or why they would send out some notifications via email and others via snail mail. I'm so sad about the snail mail though. What if someone's gets lost??? Ugh.
  24. oh wow, katiemarshall, now I have to stalk my postal worker. I just called and was told the same thing. Why get rid of email notifications????
  25. student0707, I completely agree with Hildegaard. If you haven't taken courses at GSU yet, there are probably quite a few emails you're not getting just because of that. It's so kind of you to be hopeful for the rest of us, but I really think that email meant nothing.
