I just got an email asking if I still wanted to remain on the waitlist. It also stated applicants that applied before 05/15/2017 are likely to be placed.

I got a reply to my email last week. They stated Fall placement will occur over March-April . Students that started in January 2018 applied in January 2017. I submitted my application in June 2017, she said It was unlikely I would be placed. I feel like if you may have a chance because yours was in August correct?

That would be awesome !! What are you doing in the meantime? I have taken every class relevant and am now out of options so was looking for CNA positions to gain some experience while I wait.

Oh nice!! Fingers crossed for you! I called the hotline and they said I might be looking at Spring 2019. I was hoping for this semester. This wait is miserable.

Anyone applying to CAC Nursing program for Fall 2018? I'm curious how many points I would need to remain competitive, the comments above are from years ago so wondering if its changed.

This is the exact email I received to my personal email today at 1:15pm, I submitted my PN application July 13 2017 The initial communication regarding placement into the Spring 2018 of the Fast Track Practical Nursing program has been initiated. We regret to inform you that it is unlikely you will be placed in the Spring 2018 cohort. However if you get to position #1 - #15 on the wait list we will notify you at that time as there is then a possibility of placement. To give you an idea of where we are at on the wait list, those who were offered placement for Spring 2018 applied in December 2016. You need not do anything additional at this time as you will remain on the waitlist until a seat becomes available. Kind Regards~

Oh very nice ! I was hoping to bridge to the RN program because there is such a long wait in the traditional placement route . I'm hopeful for LPN placement spring 2018 to keep my plans on track . I called them and they said it didn't seem likely I'd get placed until fall 2018 so we'll see . I submitted my application July 13 2017 .

Agreed !! Are you planning to do LPN and bridge to the RN program ?

It feels like CEP has kicked traditional placement to the curb . Such a bummer

I did mcc for my first few , then chandler , then gateway ... I noticed mcc is 100% CEP so I'm changing that today ..

I submitted for traditional placement May 2017 , haven't heard anything.

I emailed inquiring about a way to get a time frame on placement and they responded by saying placement for spring 2018 will be oct/nov . She also stated that they cannot give a time frame on the wait but said people that people that were Placed in fall 2017 turned their applications in June 2016 . I applied July 2017 was hoping for spring but looks like it'll be later than I hoped for
