  1. Medicaid for only HHA services is a non skilled case, so no the oasis does not need to be done, as it is non-transmittable anyway.
  2. Not a fan of new grads working home health. You need experience and backup. How are you supposed to teach complex skills to patients if you have never done them yourself? Have you ever set up and managed TPN? Infusions? Vents? Not trying to be rude, but it is just you and your patient out there in the home.
  3. Absolutely not, if it is Medicare. Other payers do not have as strict guidelines. Familiarize yourself with chapter 7 manual from CMS. It outlines all skilled services.
  4. I've heard good things about Homecare Homebase.
  5. It all depends on the payer... if it is Medicare, then just a recert every 60 is not a skill. HHA cannot be there without PT, OT, ST or SN. Your agency has only been open since march? Honestly there is a lot of red flags, I would run, fast.
