Transfers depend on each facility. The system I work for you can transfer to a different floor after 6 months and not lose your bonus. You can look up your facility's policy without notifying your manager. Get to know your policy then make a decision. Once you apply to another floor your manager will be notified so you won't be keeping it from them for long if you choose not to talk to them first.

I have worked in places that the CNAs are union and the only way to discipline for sleeping on the job is to have 2 people see them and have a picture. Without this the union fights it and usually wins. So I would not necessarily bash the camera use but I would check whether your facility has a policy regarding camera use.
