Hi Klovela1. There is no 50 mile rule. There are a lot of posts on here regarding that myth. You have to prove you have duplicate expenses for both your home and your rental property where you stay during your traveling. In addition, if you choose to rent out your entire house while you are gone, you lose tax free stipend status as well. I would consult with a tax professional.

Hey vzcookie. I am a travel nurse who has done both staff nursing and travel nursing inside the State of Florida. It is really dependent on the nursing hospital you work with. I have worked with three of the major chains inside the State of Florida and I have had experience with horrible management, poor physician practices, and mistreatment of staff nurses to travel nurses. In the end, its all dependent on the hospital. I have worked with some hospitals who have been very kind to their travel nurses, but then again I work ER so we have little interaction with patients before they are discharged or admitted. I would give it a try before you make that decision.

Just got my acceptance letter in the mail today!! So excited to start this journey with you all. I'm in Florida if that helps with letter delivery time. Who is ready for this?! I'm nervous.

I applied for the Spring 2018 BSN-MSN Dual Enrollment Program for ACNP/FNP. Hoping to get in and get our letters soon. I know the summer group received their acceptance letters within four weeks. I also live in Florida.
