  1. I am happy to say that I received a job offer and accepted! I am officially a Maternity Nurse!!!!!!
  2. Good evening! Update: Today the Assistant Nurse Manager called and interviewed me. We had a great conversation that started out with "tell me about yourself". That was all i needed. I took her through my resume and experience while providing examples on how I handled a couple of difficult situations. She went onto to tell me about the Maternity program being developed for experienced nurses who want to make the transition. She shared her vision and commitment to this program. This made me even more excited. The best part is that she ended the call by giving me her cell # and permission to call or text if I had an questions. WOW! I should hear back sometime next week on next steps. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the update!
  3. Hello Klone, Thank you for responding to my post! You gave me great advice and I followed it. I saw that a hospital that is 4 hours from where I live is developing a Maternity Program that will train experienced RN's who now want to become Maternity Nurses; I applied and they responded. I've had several exchanges with the HR rep and now my resume is with the hiring team being reviewed. I should know by Monday if they will grant me an interview. Fingers crossed. I will update the post with the outcome. Have a great day.... .
  4. Hello! Thank you for reading my post. Well, a few years ago I decided i wanted to switch from Oncology nursing to OB nursing. This is proving to be the hardest thing to do! I've been applying to OB nurse jobs over the last two years. However, since i have no experience in OB i do not even get the chance to interview. I have over 9 years of solid nursing experience with a speciality in Oncology. So frustrating and discouraging. I live in NY and would appreciate and welcome your advise. Thanks, Tara
