  1. Here's my pet peeve on Lovenox.....ya gotta give it VERY slowly so it doesn't hurt (this is from the drug rep and my own practice). Whenever I have a pt that says it hurts, I SLOW down. Also, I find the needles a little on the dull side, so if I have a particularly sensitive pt, I put it in a different syringe. A lot of times this keeps your pt from refusing the shots! I've had a Lovenox shot, and, of course, the RN pushed it fast....OMG!!!! That was a stinger, and it lasted ALL DAY:bluecry1:! By the way, I'm not a "delicate flower", but that really hurt!
  2. Has anyone tried Salus Scrubs on line? They're really cheap, but are they ok? I mean, I don't want to wear something that's gonna pull apart the first time I bend over!
  3. Does anyone have a med protocol for their RRT? I work on a lower acuity facility (I'm a critical care RN) and we are trying to develop a med order sheet to try and deal w/probs immediately (i.e. NTG, MSO4). Does anyone use something like this?
