  1. Thanks Mine is a 20, math wasn't so great either
  2. Most schools state in the admissions criteria that a "C" or above will be accepted, Hinds is very competitive though. I've been going there for the last 3 semesters, I've finished my pre-req's and just took my ACTs. I'm considering the Holmes night and weekend option, but the earliest I'd be able to start is the Spring of 2008. Seems like a long wait, but I'll just continue to work on my pre-req's for the BSN. Hope you get in:wink2:
  3. I'm glad to hear that Holmes has a goodreputation for their nursing program. If you all don't mind my asking (the people that have attended the nursing program at holmes), what were your ACT scores like, math and eng subscores too. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you WannaBeNurseKatie. Let me know when you make it in.:wink2: Thanks for the info
  4. Has anyone been accepted into the new night and weekend ADN course @ Holmes Community College. If so, how many nights during the week and is it every weekend? What are the hours like? Is this the only college around the Jackson area that offers night/weekend ADN courses? Does anyone know how Holmes CC's nursing program is rated, good, bad, mediocre etc.? Thanks
  5. I'm not sure, but I think it's in the area of $9 hrly and I've heard that it increases if you're working in a nursing home setting.
  6. Yea I know, NAHC doesn't seem to have a clue. I went there last week to register for regular classes (and to ask about the lpn and adn course and waiting list) and no one seemed to know anything or what protocol was. Vicksburg is too long of a drive though, I have 3 little ones and my husband is the only one working as it is, and with gas high as it is, I just wouldn't be able to. I'm thinking of submitting my application to Holmes in Ridgeland. I've taken all my pre-req's for the adn program and most of the gen. ed. courses in the adn course and I'm just sitting here waiting, waiting and waiting. Thanks a bunch for the info
  7. I've just applied for the LPN course at hinds and the RN course. I was told by the counselor of the LPN program that the waitng list is like a year long (for the LPN option). I was just wondering if anyone had to wait that long or if anyone is on the waiting list and how long you've been on it. Thanks a bunch
  8. Is the bridge program the only to have evening classes? Thanks a bunch
  9. Thanks so much I actually went there yesterday to register for my classes this semester and spoke with the LPN counselor while I was there. I'm trying to decide which program would be better for me the PN or ADN course. Thanks a bunch
  10. Hello all, Can anyone tell me how long the LPN program is at Holmes or Hinds Community College. Also, what does anyone think about the bridge option from LPN-RN, is this an ok program, what are the hours like. Thanks in advance
  11. Umm, this is my first post, hope I'm getting it right I've just completed my pre-req's for nursing (2 year program to become a RN) and I now need to take my ACT's. I was just wondering from those of you that have recently been accepted into the program, what did your math ACT scores look like. I know I'll do fine in english and reading, I'm just worried about the math. Thanks
