  1. its not going to hurt you to apply, you never know if your application pool is less competitive. youve got this, just apply
  2. hello! i applied with a 3.0. im already in the program. chose the bridge option although i got accepted into generic as well. its tough out here guys but i have a solid B. it all depends on the competition of people that are in the application pool. i got a 92 on my hesi and ive met people that got the bare minimum on it as well and got in, it all just depends. i got in on my 4th time applying, 2 times to generic 2 times to bridge
  3. hello there, theres a quizlet page called istayconfused that has pocket prep questions transcribed into sets of anatomy and phys, bio, and chem i think. honestly the test was a lot easier than i had imagined in my head and the book that helps is the elsevier 3rd edition, the 4th is the same but i just so happen to have used the 3rd for my hesi. chem was my weakest percentage on pocket prep and i ended up getting a 96 on the hesi lol. i focused on the sciences and not so much on the reading, vocab, and math (they are super super basic questions on the test) good luck to you all
  4. I've spoken to students in the AO. Students with kids and husbands and that even have to work because they're single moms/dads. They say it's hard, it's a ton of reading and it's fast paced BUT these are also people who have no medical background. I think if you don't any distractions you'd do amazingly. Good luck!
  5. i went to the coral gables location and the great part about them is if you show up early theyll take you as long as theyre not packed. make sure to take your license and that paper they sent in the confirmation email. JUST fingerprints then the sides of the prints on a machine and thats it. when youre all set the school will send you an email saying that its ready to be picked up. they make you sign for it and then you upload it to complio
  6. i did mine on wednesday morning and my paper was ready at school yesterday. so fast!
  7. yes they will not accept it. i had a friend who had it with the red cross and they made her do it again with the american heart association
  8. the card will look like that with your name and expiration date
  9. you go to the office, they make you sign for it, then hand it to you. you then submit it to complio.
  10. Pay for what you believe your program will last. Mine should take 1 year assuming I don't fail anything so I only paid for the year. If the program takes longer they always let you end up renewing once your subscription is over
  11. you do NOT need an appt. you go into advisement and sign into the computer, click on submit a program application. theres a specific person working on JUST acceptances and such so no worries. she will take your paperwork and ask you verbally which option youre applying for (REMEMBER TO PAY YOUR $100 FIRST BECAUSE SHE WANTS THE RECEIPT AS WELL) , you will wait once again while she does her thing, and then she will let you know once youre good to go! well wishes!
  12. not a silly question at all lol there are summer classes yes
  13. Just got in for FT Bridge! congrats guys!
  14. Yes. As soon as you guys get your acceptances go pay the $100 to reserve your seat. At orientation you pick your classes
  15. so sorry! i just saw this! you can sign up by going here Bad Request then click health careers and above "American Heart Association Courses" click on CPR for health care providors :] i think you can also sign up in person on the first floor across from the vision care center where the little continuing ed office is located
  16. for anyone who needs recertification for CPR and can't make it to the free class, there is a november 3rd class at the medical campus (59$) . they give you your cards right there at the end of class. For those going to the free class ask if it is CPR for HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS
  17. wherever you decide to go the school will want titers to see the levels of hep b, tdap, varicella, and mmr. if you get the shots the school will make you get titers for those given shots 6-8 weeks after the shot was given. also if you have gotten titers in the last 5 years i believe they are still valid as long as you provide document of their LEVELS not the actual injection date from 2012 to now (within the last 5 yrs)
  18. the school clinic does all of the tests required for students. they have a package minus the flu shot itll cost around 325$ or so for everything. its 4 appts over the course of 2 wks. they do your titers and those take a wk for the lab to bring back, they do 2 ppds (which take the longest amount of time because they have to be given one week apart from each other), they do the tdap shot, and the physical. if you come back as positive in a PPD the school requires for you to get a chest xray done (the school clinic will give you a referral for a partner imaging place but that its not included in the 325$, itll be around 40/45$ for the chest xray if i remember correctly. after all exams and results come back the physician at the clinic will do the physical and sign off on all the paperwork to submit to Compleo
  19. Lol yeah let's hope that's not the case. I went to ask the week after the hurricane and they said the hurricane set them back 2 weeks because the school was closed and so normally responses would be sent out early October but since they were behind that responses would then be backed up about 2 weeks so mid October. That response was from one person and the response I recently got was from a different one so let's hope they didn't lie í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸©í ½í¸©
  20. After bothering the advisement people I don't know how many times, they finally said letters should start going out next week. Good luck to everyone applying for Spring 2108
  21. I hope this helps. My friend did the bridge option at MDC. He broke down this 3 semesters into 1,500 for the first, 1,700 for the second, and 1,800 for the third semester so about 5 grand not including books and uniforms.
