Hello, I just submitted my application for my ICU's nurse manager position. Would yall help me out by sending me some interview prep questions? What I'm looking for: Practice interview questions How would you answer the question What questions should I ask them? About the position: Managing 14 bed ICU and 6 bed step down unit in a small community hospital Last 2 internal hires did not last longer than 1 year each (we were told they chose to step down because one was pregnant with her third child and the other wanted to be more involved in her toddlers' lives) Upper level management is set on an external hire Director says our main problems at the moment are staff accountability, quality & safety metrics (we've had near misses with both CAUTI & CLABSI) Bedside staff historically prefer internal candidates About me: Bedside nurse since 2017 (1.5 years in Obs, 2 years in med/surg, 4 years in ICU) all on night shift Worked at this hospital for 6 years Relief charge nurse Graduated with my MSN in Nurse Leadership in 2023 CCRN in 2024 Involved in Shared Governance, Code Blue Committee, Magnet Council, Hand Hygiene compliance audits, Titration audits Both my director and my ACNO know me by name Thanks in advance!!
