  1. For the nurse corps loan repayment, it does depend on your salary but they don't add or take anything to your salary You get the award based on debt to income ratio. If you receive it, you will receive a monthly amount that will come to your checking account, then it is your responsibility to pay your loans. It is taxed but they automatically take taxes out and you get a w-2 at end of year
  2. I think it goes by your actual debt--not your current payment amount
  3. I thought it said 45 days.. oh well I guess I will just be happy when it finally comes í ½í¸’
  4. So I just called to see if they knew when my first payment would be received. I was awarded on 9/18. The guy said to expect my first payment no sooner than 11/18 he said 60 days after awarded. Has anyone already received any payments?
  5. HospitalistNP are you from Illinois by chance?
  6. I'm not stupid, you didn't have to say wow!!! I asked a simple question.
  7. Does anyone know if you get most of what is paid in in taxes back at tax time? I was just wandering how that would work.
  8. It may not do you any good at this point, but I think I would if I were you. Sorry to hear that!!
  9. This was my second year applying. I applied while I was getting my bsn, then skipped a year and waited until I was completely finished with my bsn, which helped my dti. Definitely keep applying and good luck next year to everyone!!
  10. Why are some people getting lump sums? Also, id look for a lot of denials to come on Friday as it's the last business day of the month
  11. There is nothing wrong with wanting your own home! I didn't say that! But maybe you should wait to buy a house.. that's all I was saying
  12. Mine was just signed yesterday as well, came in my email.
  13. I do agree though, if you can't afford a mortgage without getting this program, maybe you need not be buying a house right now..
  14. I just received my welcome packet as well!!
  15. So those of you that accepted awards earlier, how long was it after they signed to when they notified you of the next step?
  16. Min is the same, still under final review but was signed at 2:30:58 today Accepted 8/30
  17. I logged in mine, it didn't show an error but still no signature
  18. Is there any chance of not getting the final award after getting to the final review stage??? And when will the first payment start?
  19. This is what I was saying
  20. I do have a question. When I got my award email, to be honest when I logged on the portal, I didn't read everything I was just so excited that I just put in my banking info and signed my contract. I do remember seeing an amount of $58,xxx I have about 64k in loans plus 2k in Perkins loans. Does the $58k mean that's all that qualified for the loan repayment? They are all federal loans through Nelnet...? I wish I'd have read closer but I was just so excited
  21. I know someone who has it and that is what she told me. of the 60%, you will basically get 40% after taxes
  22. I was under the impression that after taxes, you were basically getting 40% of your loan amount paid.
  23. I got mine at exactly 4:00 central time
  24. Me too!!!!!! RN tier1 score 16 or 17 I can't remember!!!! I'm so excited!!!!
