Although I love my d o n and my administrator where I work I'm seeking possible other job opportunities and I'm just wondering do Healthcare administrators know one another and DONs? Although I know mine love me, i havent told them that i am actively seeking another job. What are the chancesnof them knowing one another and would it hurt to not tell my boss?

So I got a job offer but the pay was lower than what I make now. I asked for even a higher pay amount based on my skills , performance, etc. And because I already took a pay cut at my current job already and seeking a new one. After I told HR I needed some time to think it over, the DON called and told me to call her back in a few days to discuss the pay I desire. I called yesterday and she said she was waiting to hear from administration (?) And if she could follow up with me today and told me not to give up on them but I didn't get a call? I have been offered other job interviews but this is where I want to be esp because it will be alot closer to my new house and babysitter. And now I'm starting to feel worried, should I just go in person tomorrow and talk with her or how long do I wait?! Orientation will start in two weeks and I just want to secure the job too. Does HR control payroll? Help!

I did write a statement. But I'm going to move forward. Thanks alot everyone I feel more relieved from the responses. Much love

Yea it's frustrating because I have NEVER BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE, and my drug screen was negative. This is my first termination. But I will take the job offer I got and will never make the same mistake again. Thanks everyone for words of advice/wisdom/thoughts.

Wow thanks everyone. I had them in a cart in a pill crusher and apparently fell out. Left to go change a cath and returned they were gone, I asked everyone if they saw any pills but someone did and turned them in and that person knew it came from me. I got a call today, they terminated me. Should I be more afraid now? Are they reporting to Bon? Y would a new job need to know. I'm so depressed now. I'm mad at myself but at the same time mad that they can't accept it was a mistake

I didn't tell them I was suspended. Just that I want to relocate. They offered position and orientation starts in 2 weeks buy I haven't said yes yet since I'm stressed over this mess. Will they find out or just not worry about it.

OK so to keep it short but it isn't, I've been suspended from work due to a med error. Basically I was going to waste meds with my coworker who vouched for me but someone found the meds and turned them in, so I got suspended that day took a drug test the following and now it's been a whole week with no response from current job. I got a new job offer esp since at this point I'm probably fired and because I can't not work, so what should I do? I even called them and left two messages wondering if I can either come back to work and no response. Should I write and send a letter of resignation now so that I can work else where or does that make me look guilty? I'm so stressed mad and sad about everything. Never been in this mess before. Any advice?
