    My facility allows residents supervised smoking outside. We do not have temperature parameters. Staff are complaining it is too cold to have to accompany residents outside in the extreme cold. Does anyone have a policy specifying extreme weather conditions where smoke breaks are not allowed?

    I am a Director of Nursing at a Long Term Care facility. Our week runs from Thursday to Wednesday instead of Sun to Sat. I need to come up with a schedule for CNA's that will allow them to work every other weekend, without getting overtime, but still allow them to get their (3) 12 hour shifts each week. If anyone has had any experience with this or has suggestions, your input would be appreciated! Thank you!
