I found out the first week of November about my acceptance. They send out paper letters from what I hear but I recvd mine via e-mail.

I applied to Memphis (Main Campus)... I had a Overall GPA of 3.72 and a Science GPA of 3.0.

When i applied for Spring 18' I got my notification end of October.

well I guess Ill be calling up there monday to find out what to do... surely they would have a plan B for people like me. They wouldnt have folks go through all this stuff like back ground checks and paying software only to be turned away cuz they dont have health insurance.... (im trying to make myself feel better LOL)

ALSOOOO.... Does everyone on here have health insurance? They say it is a requirement and I am freaking out because I do not nor do I have a way to obtain health insurance!!!!

Sooooo we are able to download the PDF and edit it and then send it back?

@cmascolo have you tried applying to UTHSC or Baptist? UT is a really good school.

they send out an e-mail as well. Lat semester when i applied. I never received an actual letter, but then again I did not get in. I only got the e-mail informing me that I did not get in. Also, when the e-mails get sent out, they are all sent out groups (it seems like) one wave of them will happen one day and so on until all are sent out. It did seem like all the acceptance letters went out first then the rejection notices mixed with some acceptance letters then all rejection letters later. I am ready to hear from them though regardless if I got in. I just want to know. lol. Last year by this time, I was checking twice a day and when the first letter of acceptance got sent out I started checking dang near every hour on the hour until I got my notice.

@EMT... yea those Baptist classes are stupid. i got buddy though over there trying to get into their nursing program. Im just not in the position to transfer. I really dont wanna pay private school tuition. @Dreamer05 I applied for Spring and didnt get in as well. Hopefully Fall is the semester for us. Do you have a back up plan in place just in case you dont get in ?

@EMT... My 2nd option is Nutrition... I really overall just wanna help people with their health. My idea is if I cant help them during their time while battling the disorder or condition then I can help prevent it through dieting/nutrition. ALSO... they usually have a little meeting for all the pre-nursing students half way through the semester and at that meeting last semester they said that neither (overall GPA or Science GPA) counts more than the other. I personally thought it might Science GPA counted more than overall but when I asked that question at the meeting the president of the senior nursing class responded with "Science GPA doesnt mean you will be a good nurse or make it in nursing school"

@star2... just study study study.... are you taking it online or on campus? I took mine online with the "register" or whatever the states program is called. So I had the advantage of taking the test at my house. But I did have 2 protoctor test I had to take on campus and i just had to study really hard.

I applied for Spring of 18. I had an overall GPA of 3.5 and a 3.0 Science GPA. I did not get excepted. I have re applied but Im honestly not counting on it. I dont mean to be a debbie downer but it completely broke my heart when I got the denial letter. I was the only one out of all my friends that did not get in. The only reason I am reapplying this upcoming fall semester is because they say it is easier to get in during the fall and also this past semester I was able to bring my Overall GPA up to a 3.6. I already have a back up major in place though. @star2 what is your overall GPA? 3.5 is good for the science GPA and its even better that your retaking it this semester.

I had a friend who got her acceptance letter as well.... I am freaking out. What if they sent all the acceptance letters today and then tomorrow are the decline letters??? ;(

I caught wind of some rumors today.... 1. We will find out Monday... but mrgivens says Tuesday either or would be great as long as its next week. lol 2. The number of people who applied this semester was low... which could work in our favor. 3. They apparently got some new administrator so that is why it is taking so long... don't know whether I believe in that one or not.... I just wanted to share some of the info I got today. Hope all is well and I am praying all of you on this thread get in. specially those who are applying for the second go around.

so i went to the nursing info session and they are sayingwe should know by either this week or next week.

I can't remember but was there a processing fee for the Memphis application?

Yea this is deff killing me... I have been checking the website every day since 10/20/17. I really wanna call and ask personally myself when they will be sent out, decided, whatever. But I know they are prolly getting that same question three times a day.

Jailin, I go to Memphis now. It really is good to have a back up plan, but its just a pain to tranfser and then re apply to another nursing program. Each program needs something different it seems like too. UTHSC needs some things that UofM and Baptist does require. Memphis you don't have to TEAS but Baptist and UTHSC you do. Some need recommendation letters. If I went somewhere else tho, I would prolly go to UTHSC. I have heard some bad thngs about Baptist. PLUS its super exspensive.
